Glasgow Rangers accept Kenny Miller bid
Scottish giants Glasgow http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 have accepted a bid of star striker Kenny Miller from Premier League side Birmingham.
The free scoring Scottish international has been in great form this season and has already scored 21 goals in just 17 Scottish Premier League games. But it’s still to be seen whether the prolific hitman would want to leave the Ibrox half-way through the season or not.
Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish was always believed to be keen on the striker after managing him during his tenure as Hibernian manager and then during his time as the manager of the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Scotland-c756 national team.
31-year-old http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wolves-c40952 and Derby County.
Kenny Miller is going to be out of contract when the current season ends and it has already been agreed that the Scot will eventually leave the club. Rangers are currently cash-strapped and if they want to buy any new player, they might have to sell a player so they couldn’t reject Birmingham’s offer as they are more willing to get some money out of Miller rather than letting him leave for virtually nothing.
The fee is rumored to be around 600,000 pounds and it remains to be seen if the former Hibernian striker will leave during the January transfer window or not.
Meanwhile, Birmingham might see winger http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Bentley-c10435 to St James’ Park failed. Larsson will be out of contract at Birmingham in 6 months time so Birmingham were very prompt to open up a dialogue with the Toon representatives as Larsson had turned down a contract extension this November.
Sunderland are also hunting the 25-year-old winger but Steve Bruce is reluctant to match Birmingham City’s asking price so it is more likely that the former Arsenal man will leave for Newcastle.
