Glass blowing?

is it possible to heat a wine or beer bottle (using a propane torch) to the point where i can put a hole in it for a bong without it cracking?

Yes.  It won't be easy though.  hey will tend to crack and making the hole will be very difficult as the propane torch isn't hot tenough to completely melt glass and only can soften it somewhat.
