Do you have one? How do you like it? We're considering getting one. I know they're easier to keep clean but do they work just as well? Have you had any problems?

  1. I love mine!  It works better than any coil type burner electric stove I've ever had.  The biggest draw back I've experienced is it does take a bit longer to heat up.  But on the other hand, it retains heat longer so you can shut the burner off a little before what you're cooking is done and it will finish.

I think the heat is more even also!  I make my own stocks and sauces and can and have had no trouble with mine at all!

  2. I have a glass top electric stove and I love  it.  Heats up very well and quickly.  Easy to clean too.

  3. I had one, now have a gas stove, and wish I could have my ceramic top one back again! I loved mine and it was a breeze to clean. You just need the ceramic cleaner and a no scratch scrubby sponge (I used the blue Scotchbrite sponges). All I did was scrub it on and wipe it off and polish with a paper towel. Looked good as new. The only drawbacks I found to it was if you have cheap pots, they can scratch and imbed into the surface of the ceramic, it took a rather long time for the surface to cool down, and it's a bit of an adjustment to get used to the heating style of the elements. I found I always turned it up too high at first. I would recommend one though!!!

  4. Ours was already in when we bought the house.  Not something I would have done, just because I've always used gas.  But I have adjusted just fine and truly wouldn't have any other type range.  I was kind of paranoid at first for fear of scratches.  But we've been here almost 7 years and it still looks (and works) just like brand new.  If I've had a messy boil-over, I use Barkeeper's Friend and it shine's it right back up.  Sure would recomment this type range!

  5. had one for tens years no problems at all
