  1. i had put on glasses when i was 11or12 ia m 15 now

  2. Well, first off it's call nearsighted. I've been wearing glasses for 17 years now. When you get glasses contacts you eye start to depend on them, making your sight worse and worse. It's like wearing shoes vs going barefoot. I you walk everywhere with shoe then take them off, your feet might hurt on the ground. Nobody can force you to wear shoes, (or glasses in this case) it's all personal preference. I'll tell you another thing that might help. Glasses will always be a more exact prescription than contacts, and because contact are a little more broad, you might be able to have a lesser prescription, which could help you not to become depended on glasses later on.  Does that help?

  3. Go to a qualified Optometrist.  The term is shortsighted. Have your eyes tested properly.

  4. get a 2nd opinion

  5. I would probably get a second opinion, however your eyes may be like 20/40 versus 20/20 and he thought you could go without wearing glasses.  As far as being too young, I was around 10 when I first wore glasses.  I know it is time for a new prescription when I start to get more headaches and my eyes start hurting, so that's usually a good sign you need glasses.  Also, since you probably haven't been to too many eye visits, it is important not to strain your eyes during the exam and make sure to blink a lot.  During your eye exam, you may have strained your eyes because that is what your used to doing and by doing that you maybe were able to read things on the 20/20 vision line...I hope this makes sense

  6. I would go to a different opticians,

he might mean that you meet the requirements for driving without glasses.

But from the sounds of it you do need glasses or contact lenses. You might just need quite thin lenses to correct your sight but it should make a big difference.

But definitely get a second opinion.

Hope you get it all sorted.

  7. I would go to another optometrist  and get your eyes checked again.

If the prescription is quite low powered, it may be unnecessary to get glasses because it can worsen your eyes.  Headaches and not being able to read the board may be unrelated though, so I would get it checked out.

Just don't try to squint when you're trying to read the board because it will make your vision worse and strain eye muscles.

  8. try to get contacts or convince him to get u glasses

  9. get glasses if you have trouble seeing the board. If unsure, get a second opinion.

  10. definitely get a second opinion !
