Question:

Glasses are giving me headache/making me feel weird. Is it because I've stuck with contacts for years?

For 4 years now, I've worn contacts for 16 hours a day. I literally wouldn't wear glasses. Now that I'm working I can't afford to be staring at a computer all day with contacts. I got a new pair of glasses but they are making my eyes feel weird and I don't feel like I can see as sharply (long distance) as with the contacts. Doctor said I had 20/15 with the contacts.

Not sure if they feel weird because:

- I haven't worn glasses in a long time

-The lenses adjust for astigmatism, but the contacts do not. So my brain/eyes are having trouble adjusting now.

-The prescription isn't quite right.

Any help is much appreciated.

  1. Yes. It takes a while wen you are switching from contacts to glasses, or the other way around. You'r eyes will adjust in about a week or so. Hope this helps.

  2. Go back to your eyedoctor.

You may have the wrong prescription.

It can also be that its because you haven't worn glasses in a while.

Go to your eye doctor right away.

  3. I can't comment on the contact angle. But as far as the glasses I can relate to the vision problem after getting new glasses.I got new glasses after an eye exam,I couldn't see out of them even at the office .The women said to take them home and wear them .I said No ,something is wrong.I got my eyes reexamined, and found out I really did have the wrong prescription in the glasses.Go back to your doctor if it's giving you questionable eye sight, headache's.Your eye sight is very important. Why continue to suffer if there is a problem?Good luck
