I'm going to a water park tomorrow, i have contacts but i wear my glasses a lot more. I'm afraid of wearing my contacts in the water with chlorine. (I have those rewetting drops) i DO NOT have goggles and i cannot get them so thats not an option. I'm scared of wearing my glasses becuase they might fall off (some of the rides are a little wild) and i can't leave them in a locker becuase i absolutely can't see without them. if i leave them where i put my shoes i'm afraid someone my take them they're designer and i've seen it happen

So i don't know what to do, any suggestions?

  1. I've worn contacts at water parks before with no problems, but I HIGHLY recommend bringing your glasses with you and leave them in a locker (or with a non rider) in case you do lose a contact or your eyes get irritated by the chlorine.  Bring the eye drops, they'll help a lot, and your lense case(s) with cleaning solution so if you do have to take your contacts out, you'll be prepared to store them.

You will be amazed at how well the contacts can stay in your eyes.  Of course, I don't recommend opening your eyes under water, just in case, but for general riding, your contacts should fare well with no problems.  Have fun at the water park!!

  2. I cant really see without my glasses either, i absolutely can not read without them, nor see peoples faces its really blury. But i have been to so many water parks, i always take them off and i get used to it. at first it was kind of weird but i tried it out a couple of times...try it out and you will get used to it too...GOOD LUCK!!!

  3. I had the same issues growing up. I just went blind at the water park. You can see enough to make it around.

Or wear your contacts for the first half of the day. Don't open your eyes in the water. Then take them out and walk around blind and then use your glasses on the way home.

  4. get a glasses strap, that'll at least keep them around your neck if they come off.

    :o)

  5. i always wear my contacts and never had any problems and i'v gone on sum crazy rides..but its always safe to just bring your case with sum solution in it ready to go

    have fun!!
