Glatton Rosie to dominate the Owners’ Bonus Series – Heat 1 at Peterborough
The Grade A6 Owners’ Bonus Series – Heat 1 will be held at Peterborough over 420 metres flat on Wednesday, 30th May. Competing for the prize money are Recneps Romeo, Caz Uno, Smarty Socks, Glatton Rosie, Shes A Rocket and Goosetree Chance.
The most reliable entry for the race is Glatton Rosie, Bexhill Eoin’s three-year-old brindle daughter out of b***h, Southoe Queen. Her seasonal debut was on 19th January over 420 metres at Peterborough in which she finished third while the race was won by Varra Kate who led by 6 ¼ lengths.
She failed in the next two races too by ending third and then second. However, on 7th March she finally struck the seasonal debut in a Grade A7 420 metres flat race at Peterborough. Glatton Rosie timed the track distance in 26.49 seconds and led the runner up of the race, Recneps Romeo, by 1 ¼ lengths.
The 6/4 favourite of the race, Tagalong Kate, ended fourth after racing for 26.69 seconds.
This victory turned out to be the first leg of the seasonal hat trick.
She won a 420 metres race at Peterborough on 22nd March by reaching the other end of the wire in 26.31 seconds and leading the runner up of the race, Southoe Wood, by three lengths.
Glatton Rosie finally blew the final stroke on 4th April in a Grade A6 420 metres flat race at Peterborough. She completed the trip in 27.52 seconds and took charge of the final 1 ¾ lengths. Finishing the closest to the winner was Heavens Summer who timed the track distance in 27.66 seconds.
Runfatboyrun ended third in behind the winner while the 5/4 favourite of the race, Max Romeo, ended fifth.
She did not get a chance to post wins right away but when she did get on with it then she struck a hat trick once and for all.
The last three races of the season till yet have seen her ending third twice and scoring a second. Glatton Rosie qualified as the runner up in the Grade A6 the Malary Stakes after racing for 26.20 seconds while being entered as the 2/1 favourite.
She has all the chances of getting back into form tonight and stamping the race.
