  1. I would go with Clemens, Glavine, and Smoltz..

Three of the best all time.

  2. I'd definately have to say Glavine, Maddux and Smoltz

  3. In their prime, I'd have to go with Glavine, Maddux and Smoltz. That's the only trio that will all go to the Hall of Fame. And I'm a Mets fan saying this.

  4. Glavine,Maddux,Smoltz. Hall Of Fame Bound

  5. no doubt the ATL boys were the best, and i agree with the other poster who said the only trio that will end up in the HOF together..back when atlanta couldnt lose the NL East pennant if they tried, this pitching staff was the best and most feared out there

  6. Glavine, Maddux, and Smoltz. Two of them are three hundred game winners and Smoltz might have come close if he wasn't in the bullpen for a few years.

  7. Oh look, you ever put them in order.

    Maddux Glavine & Smoltz

    Clemens, Mussina & Petttite

    Hudson, Mulder & Zito.

Maddux is clearly the best of this group,

Clemens is next, then Glavine, then Smoltz.  That puts the Brave's trio up at top.

Now, Hudson, Mulder and Zito had some nice peak years in Oakland and Hudson had some success out of Oakland, but the other two didn't.

  8. In their prime, I'd say it would be Hudson, Mulder, and Zito.  They all dominated in Oakland for a couple years.

  9. in the order you put it the braves, yanks, then the A's

  10. No doubt. Glavine (300+wins) Maddux(3000+strikeouts 300+wins) and smoltz (207 games won, just about 3000k hes got 2975) the reason i didn't say clemens is because he cheated. he used steroids and everyone knows it. He is just like barry bonds a big cheat only he is a pitcher, and bonds is a DH/ LF

  11. John Smoltz, Greg Maddux, and Roger Clemens

Even before Clemens took steroids he was a great pitcher.

  12. There is no question that it is Maddux, Glavine, and Smoltz

    Look at the Stat line

    Maddux 353 Wins, 3349K's, 3.14ERA, 4 Cy Young's, 8-Time AS, 17!! Gold Gloves

    Glavine 305 Wins, 2605 K's, 3.54 ERA, 2 Cy Young's, 10-Time AS

    Smoltz 210 Wins, 3011 K's, 3.26 ERA, 1 Cy Young, 8-Time AS, 154 Career Saves

Between them they have 868 Wins, 8965 K's, 7 Cy Young's, 28 AS Appearances, a .659 Winning Percentage and led Atlanta to 1 WS

Neither of the other trios has led a team to a WS

    Clemens 354 W's, 4672 K's, 3.12 ERA, 7 Cy Young's 11 AS

    Mussina 265 W's, 2764 K's, 3.68 ERA, 0 Cy Young's, 5 AS

    Petitte 213 W's, 1963 K's, 3.86 ERA,  0 Cy Young's, 2 AS

    As a Trio they have 832 W's, 9399 K's, 7 Cy Young's, 18 AS Appearances, and a .645 Winning Percentage

However, all of the Cy Young's are from Roger Clemens, and many of the W's were not as a trio whereas the Braves trio was predominantly together.

Hudson, Zito, and Mulder are not even worth putting the stats for because they do not come close to either of the other trios
