Glenard Party rated favourite for Williamhill.com Stakes
Glenard Party is all set to take victory in the Williamhill.com Stakes at Newcastle in England on Tuesday, April 17, 2012. The cash prize for the winning greyhound will be £112.
The Grade A2 event will start at 19:32 GMT and the runners will be fighting over 480 metres to take victory. Following are the entries confirmed for the flat race: Glenard Party, Bills Delight, Park At Last, Compos Mini, Sarahs Champ and Ningbo Mick.
Out of the above mentioned hounds, Glenard Party is in very good rhythm at the moment and that helped him win the best odds for today’s race. He likes the longer distance events, thus he is expected to make life difficult for the rest of the runners.
Due to this, the punters will also be placing a lot of bets in favour of Glenard Party. He finished on top of the table in his most recent outing, which shows that he is carrying terrific moment. He might find things a touch more difficult in this
class, as some of the other competitors are also in good form.
However, A. McCarroll’s trainee is still expected to prevail in today’s race, as he appears to be in better shape compared to the rest of the participants and has got plenty of experience. He is the son of Hades Rocket out of Mossley Jo and was born
in April 2007.
The bookmakers have given decent odds to Bills Delight as well, who is also trained by A. McCarroll. He is a regular at Newcastle, but the last couple of races have not seen him deliver strong results. He finished fourth in both of them and will need
to push a lot harder in order to challenge his opponents today.
The black dog is the son of Chelseas Champ out of Drumscraw Blue and was born in September 2009.
Apart from the top two favourites, Park At Last will also be the one to look out for in the event. He seems to be in winning form right now and the bettors might risk some money in his favour as well.
It will be a hard race for the rest of the runners, but anyone can pull off a surprise in the end, as nothing can be predicted accurately in racing.
