Glenardan in superb position to win Dobbins Granstand Restaurant A2 525 Round 1 Heat 2
Glenardan’s trial outings were quite impressive ahead of his comprehensive victory at the end of last month. In a grade GR race, the black dog secured the top rank by staggering eight lengths.
After three magnificent trips, Hondo Black’s son is in fantastic shape and has a bright chance of bagging the first prize in the Dobbins Granstand Restaurant A2 525 Round 1 Heat 2, taking place at Shelbourne Park on Wednesday July 4th.
In his latest trip over 525 yards, the dashing hound stopped the clock in 29.08 seconds. If he manages to come up with an equally good show, it will be an easy triumph for him. Despite the fact that Glenardan is running at this track for the first time, no one can expect him to be rusty.
The black dog is set to start the show from the red box. He is going to face some big names such as, Inkerman, Jaxx Party Time, Victoriano, Lough Maeve and Leonies Cracker.
The punters are left with only a little time to stake their money, as the action is about to begin. The officials at Shelbourne Park are due to kick off the affair at 21:10 (GMT).
Jaxx Party Time is also coming into this track after a few decent outings, but her latest effort over 525 yards was not as impressive as Glenardan. So, she is not expected to create any mess for the favourite.
It will be an unwise move to pin up too many hopes on Lough Maeve, who is in poor form these days. Leonies Cracker has been unlucky over the past few days. In his last outing at Galway, the white and black dog ended up third behind Fitzler Express.
Victoriano is in winning mood these days, but it is very hard to recommend him for the top prize. The brindle dog is stepping up to this class and will be under some pressure. Inkerman, on the other hand, is looking good to fancy some chances.
An analysis of the recent stats shows that Glenardan is in the best position to grab the first prize. Inkerman will be a tough competitor though. Good luck to all the runners.
