Glenbane Air all set for striking a hat trick in the Ladbrokes Blue Riband – Heat 2 at Hall Green
Hall Green will host the Ladbrokes Blue Riband – Heat 2 over 480 metres flat on Wednesday, 4th April. The £150 prize money will get contested for by Glenbane Air, Swan Storm, Local Dee Jay, Bandicoot Fionn, Fridays Shea and Sids Dream.
From among the lineup the strongest of the entries is Glenbane Air, Pacific Mile’s three-year-old white and black son out of b***h Hondo On Air. He entered the season by drilling over 285 metres at Swindon on 10th January, a trip that he completed
in 16.76 seconds.
Out of the ten races that Glenbane Air took part in during the new season, four were successes.
On 21st January, he won a 480 metres race at Swindon by clocking the track distance in 29.08 seconds and leading the runner up, Penskey Rain, by 2 ¾ lengths.
Pairing up the victory, Glenbane Air, the 6/4 favourite of the race won the Swindon Arc Trial Stakes on 1st February by timing the track distance in 28.77 seconds.
The runner up of the race, Seneca, was left behind by three lengths and made it to the other end of the wire in 29.01 seconds while finishing right next to him was Silverton Blaze.
The race that could have entitled Glenbane Air of a hat trick turned the fate around as he finished second behind the winner, Interceptor. He was done with the race in 28.78 seconds.
He then remained winless in the next four starts, finishing fourth twice, sixth and then third. However, the last two races that he took part in were victories.
Glenbane Air won the William & Peter King Standard on 21st March at Swindon over 480 metres by reaching the other end of the wire in 28.72 seconds. The runner up of the race, Jaytee Ray, missed the victory by a shoulder’s margin.
Seek The Cash, the evening’s favourite was third in line behind the winner.
His most recent victory was in a 480 metres race at Hall Green that Glenbane Air was able to bag after concluding the race in 28.58 seconds. He led the runner up, Thinkingoutloud, by 2 ¾ lengths.
The only other entry on the lineup who has won recently is Swan Storm thus Glenbane Air will need to look out for him.
