Glenn Roeder has come out and called upon Roy Hodgson to play the England national team in such a way which brings out the best in Andy Carroll. It is a widely held belief at the moment that with Rooney suspended for the first
two matches of the European Championships; England must start with Carroll as their front man and count on him to bring the best out of his team mates.
Roeder has hinted that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 much more
trouble than expected.
England haven’t been able to produce the goods on the international level for some time now considering that they failed to progress past the round of 16 in the previous FIFA World Cup and even failed to qualify for the previous
European Championships in 2008.
Roeder stated, “Roy won’t need telling this and I would assume that he would have selected him with this in mind but you have to play to Andy’s strengths to get the best out of him. If you don’t do that there is no point having
him in the team and he will get frustrated and I have seen a lot of that frustration at Liverpool."
He added, “Roy is not averse to getting the ball forward into the big striker early but if Andy Carroll is going to play a starting role on a regular basis you have to play to his strengths.”
It will be interesting to see how Roy Hodgson lines up the Three Lions for their first European Championships encounter since 2004 but if a conclusion is deduced by England’s formation against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Norway-c2974 in their latest friendly, then
it will be a mix and match up of a long ball strategy coupled with emphasis on territorial domination as well.
