Glenrowan~ The site of the Kelly Seige .. do you as an Aussie consider it an interesting place in our history?

Also there are movements to make the place where the Kelly Gang Shot three policemen a Heirtage listed place.

Would you go to the Dig at Glenrowan? ( personally I'd Love too) .. and as a side how do you see The Kelly Gang ?

I have heard of Glenrowan most Aussies have and if I was nearby I would probably go see it but really there are only going to be really hard core Ned Kelly fans that are absolutely in love with it.

Most Aussies think Ned Kelly was pretty cool but I wouldn't say we know his history super well.

The Kelly gang make for an interesting lesson or two at school but I doubt that 1% of the Australian population could name them. Was one called Dan? Was one Ned's brother?

Sorry - and I am an Aussie that is interested in a bit of history.

If I were in the area I might drop in, but I don't see it as more significant than thousands of other places, such as Aboriginal sacred sites, beauty spots, and so on.
