Glenwood Pixie favourite for Sporting Press Irish Oaks Round 1 Heat 2
Glenwood Pixie has got a very good chance of winning the 2012 Sporting Press Irish Oaks Round 1 Heat 2 at Shelbourne Park in Ireland on Thursday, May 24, 2012. The winner of the Grade OR event will walk away with a cash prize of €100.
The 525 yard race is scheduled to start at 20:55 GMT and a total of six quality runners will be seen in action in it. Their names are as follows: Ballymac Floreck, Glenwood Pixie, Domestic Lily, Go Mandy, Royal Dilemma and Course I Can.
Although the bookies expect Ballymac Floreck to be strong at Shelbourne Park, Glenwood Pixie has a better stamina, which will count more in the race today. She has done well in this class recently, thus it will be ideal to place the maximum number of bets
on her.
The Losty’s trained runner has won once out of her previous five Grade OR outings, which shows that she is carrying good momentum. However, she is a touch inconsistent, which will discourage the punters from risking money on her.
In her most recent race, the black b***h was unable to make a solid impression, as she finished fifth overall. She was up against some very good runners, thus struggled to match them in the end. However, things will be easier for her today and a clear run
would see her take the top spot comfortably.
Glenwood Pixie is the daughter of Guitar Moment out of Minnies Veleta and was born in July 2010.
On the other hand, Ballymac Floreck might spoil the party for her rivals, as she is a fierce competitor. Out of her previous five runs in this class, she has managed to win just once, which shows that she is not in dominant form.
The Dowling’s trainee did a decent job in her most recent race, as she finished runner up in it. She was unable to challenge the race winner, but still impressed one and all with her skills.
It will not be an easy task for Ballymac Floreck to win, but she has the tools to do so. She is the daughter of Burnpark Champ out of Ballymac Penske and was born in September 2010.
