Glenwood Pixie to conquer the Sportsco A1 525 Semi-Final on 25th February
Shelbourne Park is to stage the Grade A1 Sportsco A1 525 Semi-Final on Saturday, 25th February. The €100 prize money will be battled for by six hounds who are participating today.
The hound capable of taking the level of the competition to altogether new dimensions during the race is Glenwood Pixie, Guitar Moment’s two-year-old black daughter out of b***h Minnies Veleta. She was not raced during the first attempt of the new season but performed gamely right in her next start.
Glenwood Pixie won the Grade A6 Try A Trio on 24th January at Harold’s Cross. She covered the 525 yards distance in 29.45 seconds and led by four and a half lengths.
She was the evening’s joint favourite with Bit Different won finished third after clocking the distance in 30.37 seconds.
On 2nd February, Glenwood Pixie was second in the Grade A3 The Fundraising Night A3 525 Semi-Final at Shelbourne Park. She missed the winner’s slot by a neck which was taken by Walkabout Gary who was across the wire in 29.09 seconds. The winner was the 2/1 favourite of the race.
It took Glenwood Pixie 29.11 seconds to race through the track distance.
The two-year-old got back to business on 9th February at Shelbourne Park as she won the Grade A3 The Fundraising Night A3 525 Final. Glenwood Pixie was on the other side of the wire in 28.93 seconds while the other 2/1 joint favourite, Walkabout Gary, finished third.
Noirs Magician was the runner up of the race.
Glenwood Pixie has not gone down the second position ever since she cracked into the 2012 season thus her winning probabilities are the highest.
Murdaniel Tune, Droopys Scolari’s three-year-old black daughter out of Express Tune, is also the one who has recently added a victory on her record.
The three times that Murdaniel Tune has raced in 2012, she has struck a victory, came second and fourth once.
On 4th February she won a Grade A3 race over 525 yards, Murdaniel Tune clocked the distance in 28.75 seconds and led by five and a half lengths. Paddys Lark was the runner up of the race.
If she will succeed in upsetting Glenwood Pixie today or not, will not take long to become news.
