Global Warming, come too soon?

The more and more i read up on Global Warming effects, the more it leads me to believe that scientists are shrugging their heads saying "boy, we think it's too late now.."

Are massive catostrophic events not see since the Black Death on the way for us within the next 50 years?

Here I will not argue about how global warming is not real but about the effects. Who sais it will be bad; Al Gore, the IPCC or maybe a corrupted scientist. The last time the earth got warmed(in the medievel ages) there were no extrodinary disasters, there were acualy only profits. In england they were able to grow grapes and swim all year round. So it isn't that bad after all is it?

The second article has links for data from Hadley, Nasa and various other climate observers that show drastic cooling that started in 2001, but since 2007 has started to decrease more rapidly....

Here is truth about global warming:

Global warming is one-half of the climatic cycle of warming and cooling.

The earth's mean temperature cycles around the freezing point of water.

This is a completely natural phenomenon which has been going on since there has been water on this planet. It is driven by the sun.

Our planet is currently emerging from a 'mini ice age', so is

becoming warmer and may return to the point at which Greenland is again usable as farmland (as it has been in recorded history).

As the polar ice caps decrease, the amount of fresh water mixing with oceanic water will slow and perhaps stop the thermohaline cycle (the oceanic heat 'conveyor' which, among other things, keeps the U.S. east coast warm).

When this cycle slows/stops, the planet will cool again and begin to enter another ice age.

It's been happening for millions of years.

The worrisome and brutal predictions of drastic climate effects are based on computer models, NOT CLIMATE HISTORY.

As you probably know, computer models are not the most reliable of sources, especially when used to 'predict' chaotic systems such as weather.

Global warming/cooling, AKA 'climate change':

Humans did not cause it.

Humans cannot stop it.

Whilst there is no doubt the earth has warmed over the last few hundreds years, the warming started long before we were pumping out tonnes of co2 and appears to be a natural occurance as has happened many times in the past. Historically temperatures rise followed by increased co2 as the sea warms (normally with a 800 year lag) so the current increases in co2 could be driven by the medieval optimum for all we know.

The best way to get an idea of what increased warming will do just look at the past, it has been much warmer in the past than today i.e. the mediaval optimum, and during this time people enjoyed milder climes, the polar bears and penguins survived, man survived (including those in hot arid countries), the sea didnt rise and swallow the world when the glaciers retreated so dont expect the end of the world! And this isnt not a wild theory, we know the mediaval optimum happened not only through climate reconstruction but through common sense observations (Unfortunetly common sense is often neglected in the climate debate).

All that will happen is change in the patterns, rainfall may become shorter and more intense causing more flash flooding, but there will be lass low intensity long duration rainfall which causes the larger floods so it will balance out. Some areas may become drier and turn to desert but other areas of desert may turn back to fertile wet lands for agriculture. Hurricanes may become stronger but happen less often etc...

I am currently doing a study on climate change trends in new zealand, and my research is showing that whilst some areas have warmed over the last 50 years, other areas have cooled over the last 50 years, and this is due to changes in the prevailing wind direction and the influence of the southern alps on wind temperature and humidty, this is another example of how global warming doesnt actually mean everywhere gets hotter, some areas will also cool.

The world survived much warmer (and colder) periods in the past with far less technology than today so I wouldnt loose any sleep over it!

The media has to keep reporting more and more wild stories in order to keep people interested, if they kept saying the same thing we would get bored and lose interest- and these guys are climate reporters and need to perpetuate the stories to keep their jobs.

The media also doesnt seem to mention that the warming stopped after 1998 and more recently temperatures have been dropping globally, and that sea levels have started falling recently. Many scientist now believe the sea is entering a cooling phase that will see temperatures drop for at least a further 10 years, whilst other are predicting another little iceage, the same thing happening back in 1975 after a period of cooling, scientists thought we were heading for an iceage and it was the end of the world, than it warmed and the alarmist theories stayed the same they just swapped the word cooling for warming! Now its been cooling the ice age story will return as it makes "a good story" with similar dire predictions for humanity.

They predict the same apocolyptic changes in extreme weather as the IPCC predict but due to cooling - not warming!

It seems that the weather only behaves when the temperature stay exactly as it is currently, if it moves either way its the end of the world. I hope you sleep a little easier tonight.
