Global Warming: Anyone care to explain the latest Cooling Trend?

With all the hype about Greenhouse gases and Global Warming why is it so darned cold!?!?

The AGWers all say weather isn't climate. Well, the oceans have cooled slightly for at least 4 years now (maybe more).

Where is the heat going? Willis et al speculate that it is going back out into space....What??? That throws a wrench in things.

This is the second time I have used this link, because it makes way more sense than anything that  the global warming people are spewing in a  frenzy that is externalizing way too much emotion and energy. CHECK THIS: I just may be on to something.

A single year, much less season, does not proof for or against global climate change make.  That's like doubting that a ship is actually on a course from NY to London because its course deviated for a half-mile.

Additionally, as one writer already said, global climate change is more accurate, as, while the overall trend will be a warmer planet, some areas will become cooler - in fact, the entire planet may cool for decades, only to bounce erradically back to an even warmer temp.  This is a centuries-old trend we're beginning.

You can choose to believe whtvr you'd like, but the science supports only the truth - it's real, and more than just a little caused by the burning of fossil fuels.  However, natural feedback loops initiated by the warming we caused, will soon dwarf our impact.  For example, as the warming CAUSED PRIMARILY BY FOSSIL FUEL BURNING melts the perma-frost throughout the northern hemisphere, massive amounts of methane - a more efficient trapper of solar energy - are released, further warming the planet, melting still more permafrost.  That's but one such feedback loop.

But trying to explain scientific phenomena to a troll like yourself is like asking a bear to sh*t on a toilet.  Keep believing what you will - it's dumf*/<$ like yourself that got us here, no need to learn from your mistakes now.

Climate = Average of weather over 30 years.

The climate is not cooling.  Any analysis of the past 30 years still shows a clear warming trend of 0.15 C/decade.  If it's "so darned cold" where you are, that's because of weather, not because the climate isn't warming.  Weather will still have seasons, hot/cold & wet/dry days.  But the climate is still slowly warming.

And the dubious renaming of global warming to climate change, was done by the deniers (not those who accept the science).  It was a Republican ploy to make it seem less serious.

What cooling trend are you talking about?  It sounds like you're talking about your local weather, in which case this question should be in the Weather section, not the Global Warming section.

Also, global warming has not been re-dubbed climate change.  They're two seperate effects.  Greenhouse gases (among other effects) cause the planet to warm - that's global warming.  When the planet warms, its climate changes.  For example, more water evaporates, causing rain patterns to change.  That's global climate change.

In short, humans cause global warming, which causes global climate change.  Because they're cause and effect, people tend to use the terms interchangeably.

Based on the tone of your question, it sounds like your mind is made up and you're not interested in learning about the subject.  If you are, then I suggest you read the link below, in which the scientific evidence has been summarized.

'Cause the models did not took the volcano activity in the calculations.

2007 and 2008 are really active volcanic period.

Pinatubo only, erupted in 1991; for 2 years the temperature dropped for about 2 degrees in many parts of the world.

Actually, since the big earthquake that causes the tsunami, there's more big volcanoes that suddenly woke up.  In each Earth hemisphere.

Also, we're in a low Sun activity cycle.

And probably, some others things we don't yet understand! (but some people are trying to say that they know ALL about nature!)

Global warming causes global cooling.

You'll notice that the computer models have been recently tuned to "predict" this.

The latest finding by the "experts" that we will have a ten year cooling trend is their way of putting off the inevitable  fact that they were wrong about global warming. This is one of the biggest scams in history they will not give it up easily.
