  1. Here is a "fun" fact. Our country is severely deficient in scientific thinking. We will dismiss anything that doesn't agree with our profligate lifestyle or political ideology.

If you want some research, try the National Academy of Sciences. They may not be "fun" facts, but they are facts.

  2. It's a fact that noone has started a polar bear swimming academy. I reckon environmentalists would prefer that they drown.

  3. The main fact about Gloobial Worming is that NOBODY really knows any facts.  You could just make some up like Algore and the other sky-is-falling crowd.

  4. First FACT

It was invented by an Al Gore around 1987 a has been Senator from Tennesse at the time. He used his invention to gain the democratic nomination for vice president and eventually won election as Vice President. He also used his invention to almost steal the US presidency in 2000,

His invention although proven a hoax many times by reputable scientists has refused to go away. This hoax has cost the world billions of dollars and has claimed the lives of thousands of people by eroding the money available for charity etc.

Every claim for global warming has been proven false. They claim the world is getting hotter. The truth is that 1934 has been establised as the hottest year on record by ALL scientists. They do not report that the temperature on Mars is getting hotter. I guess they also are trying to reduce the burning of fossill fuels on Mars. They claim that the ice sheets on both Antartica and the Artic are decreasing even though facts show that the ice sheets are actually increasing in all but 2% of that area. They downplay the fact that scientists can explain the fact of the 2% decrease in ice sheets in Antartica. Turns out that there is a volcano which erupted 2,000 years ago has most like erupted again. This volcano in below the ice sheets and most certainly explains why there is melting there. Funny how this news is buried on a little section of Yahoo news.

What is funny is have you noticed that those who believe in global warming are the same type of individuals who believe we have had visitors from other planets. Research on the IQ of those who believe in global warming has shown their IQ is at least 10 points lower than a non believer.

  5. Well, if your research includes possible solutions that limit negative economic impact you might want to check out tradeable permits.  The Kyoto protocol has a lot of cool stuff in it, even if the US never ratified it.

  6. Global Warming has been going on for the past 10,000 years.  In that time, the glaciers have retreated nearly 2,000 miles and the oceans have risen hundreds of feet.  Only in the past 200 years have humans become industrialized - but someone wants to BLAME US for this natural occurrence?

Once upon a time, Alaska and Antarctica had forests and supported wildlife.  Then, the life-crushing Ice Age came along and destroyed it all.  Now that the Earth is recovering from the deadly freeze, life may yet return to those places.

10,000 years ago, over a mile of ice crushed the land where New York and London now stand.  We and other species are thriving thanks to Global Warming, the retreat of the deadly Ice Age.

Carbon Dioxide is the primary nutrient of our ecosystem.  Plants thrive on it and produce the oxygen we breathe from it.  Back when the CO2 levels were four times today's levels, the Earth supported massive jungles and gigantic animals.

    LIFE LOVES A GREENHOUSE

  7. You might look at this web page:

    http://www.worldclimatereport.com/index....

"This mean rate of 1.74 mm/yr is at the upper end of the range of estimates for the 20th century in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Third Assessment Report.” Well, it seems sea level is rising at what many would call an alarming rate of 174 mm (6.8 inches) per century, although this hardly seems alarming to us."

For about 8000 years (end of last ice age) ocean levels have been going up a few inches per century - even the IPCC now must admit that ocean levels are not rising unusually fast.

  8. It was MINUS 30 degrees (that's 30 degrees BELOW zero) this morning in the Rocky Mountains of Montana.  It will be close to that cold tomorrow morning too.  Any more of this "global warming" and we may freeze to death (or suffer the consequences of a new ice age!).
