  1. Pollution doesn't contribute to global warming.

  2. people should care about it because we don't want to choke on our own gas emissions obviously. to reduce pollution people should drive less, or if you can, get a more fuel efficient car. Also, get local produce. It takes a lot of energy to bring apples from New Zealand all the way to the U.S. Also, i know many websites:

    http://www.abundantforests.org/

    www.care2.com

    www.bewaterwise.com

    http://www.eere.energy.gov/greenpower/

    http://www.theclimateproject.org/

abundant forests is mostly to know how much trees help the world in the long run. Even one tree can make a difference right now, so plant a tree. really, do it. If you love earth and love to live healthily, plant a tree.

  3. idk i was told they said the same thing in the 70's by my dad idk

  4. People should definately care about global warming, or in correct terms climate change. Many people do not see how it will affect them because they do not live in the acrtic cirle or antarctica, but the fact is that it does affect everyone. As the enhanced greenhouse effect continues the planet warms creating increased sever weather (hurricanes, thunderstorms, flooding, snowfall, drought). The ocean is the biggest problem. More polar ice caps are melting into the ocean causing an increase in water and a decrease in the fresh water that these ice caps give us. Add this to the expanding water due to more heat and there is a lot more water. Much more information is available on many websites if you search climate change on a search engine. Pollution is a major problem because it adds greenhouse gases into the atmosphere creating an increased greenhouse effect which traps heat. A major problem right now is the destruction of the coral reefs due to pollution. This affects all of us because a large amount of medicine we use comes from coral reefs as well as over 50% of new medicines being researched. To help reduce pollution many regions have set up garbage bins for compoatable items only. Simple ways of reducing pollution are by carpooling, public transit, buying eco-friendly products. If you want to keep these conveniences, don't water your lawn this summer (and be proud of it!), only do laundry with heavy loads, shower instead of bath, reduce shower times, open windows instead of using A/C when possible. Even if you reduce the amount of cow that you eat you will help somewhat. Cows are terrible for the environment because just one needs 50-75L of water daily. As well, their droppings release methane into the atmosphere. Methane is far more harmful to the atmosphere than carbon dioxide. Lastly, cows overgraze and eat the land dry preventing anything from growing. DO WHATEVER YOU CAN!
