Question:

Global Warming: What is the truth?

I agree with the theory that global warming is part of a natural cycle and is not caused by human activity. Here are two websites that I agree with on the ideas:

http://members.shaw.ca/rolfwitzsche/canada/global_warming.html

http://www.secretsofsurvival.com/survival/is_the_sun_heating_up.html

Of course, then you have people like Al Gore with his movie, An Inconenient Truth, which have completely different statistics. There are lots of websites that say this too.

What is your opinion? Can you support/deny the theories presented in the websites I provided the links to? Can you support/deny the theories presented by Al Gore and other people that believe in Global Warming?

  1. Global warming is by all means a natural trend..

global warming is also contributed to by mankind...

the question is... and this is where peoples answers diverge... is mankind's contribution to global warming significant...

personally i think it is like pushing a car downhill you are probably making it go faster but if you stop pushing it isn't going to stop

  2. Some AGW proponents are now saying much of the earth will begin a cooling trend due to natural forces. These natural forces will supposedly mask the effects of AGW anywhere from 10 to 30 years.

Talk about waffling. How much more will the public tolerate, before people start demanding the truth about this fraudulent theory?

They are clearly trying to leave themselves an out to keep the lie going.

First they got us ready for their BS by changing the name to climate change.

Now they can call cooling warming. Just believe whatever we say. I sincerely hope the public isn't that stupid.

I wonder why mainstream science seems to be on one side? Could it be that this is the side recieving the most government grants?

The consensus is falling apart, despite the grant factor. Amazzing.

  3. Perhaps those playing with weather control systems have a little to do with it. For the sceptics, consider the 1977 UN Treaty, described here as one of their great achievements of that year.

"1977 -- The Convention on the Prohibition of Military or Any Other Hostile Use of Environmental Modification Techniques. ENMOD Convention prohibits the use of techniques that would have widespread, long-lasting or severe effects through deliberate manipulation of natural processes and cause such phenomena as earthquakes, tidal waves, and changes in climate and in weather patterns."

Sure glad our governments are there for the people!

Read more about this frightening technology at the link below. It's not the only source, but a good place to start.

  4. Global Warming is a very very serous issue that people down play.  The main source for Global Warming is carbon dioxide and methane gas.  It is scientifically proven that these gases cause an increase in temperature.  However,  we do need some carbon dioxide to help support the ozone but at the rate we are not it will be to much and will cause a very big problem later on down the line.

  5. Sorry i wouldn't believe those websites they don't seen very reliable or true. If you want real statistics go to your library.

  6. In my opinion, global warming is both natural and man-made.

We got too much man-made pollution going on and the planet is also going thru natural weather changes.

But, our lovely government now control the weather with the HAARP program.  They got installations around the world to do it.

In summary, NWO is here to stay!

    My 2 cents.

  7. http://dsc.discovery.com/convergence/glo...

Global warming is but a component, in a group of destructive forces at work such as ;deforestation, desertification, soil and water contamination ,irresponsible or wasteful utilization of bio resources , air pollution,Non sustainable Agriculture, over pumping carbon aquifers

all concepts which are definitely not part of the Natural Processes of the Natural world

    WHICH WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR,

The most prolific growth on this planet is part of the day in the mist and most of the time under clouds ,and the least growth is always directly in the sun .

To exchange the one for the other means changing local climates

We are exchanging Nature with Tar , concrete and open spaced mono cultures.

In 300 years half of the planets forests have gone ,and in the last 50 years half of the wet lands ,and rain forests

These Areas absorb heat during the day and release heat at night ,

Cause cloud formation(shade).humidifying the air on the surface as well as releasing excess water at the roots that keep rivers flowing ,which in turn brings more water into the Environment .

As well as contributing to absorbing carbon emissions as do the leaves of the trees together with the oceans .

All in all many factors which directly affect the local Environment .

The loss of the above resulting in rivers drying up ,less rain ,desertification, loss of habitat for many species and so on.

dryer and hotter surface environments which can manifest in different weather patterns such as tornadoes or bush fires

I may be stupid or Naive but somehow i believe that lots of these local environmental changes, can add up to affect global weather, If there are enough of them (and there are)

And then on top of that comes the story of the effects of pollutants released into Nature and especially the Air ,by MAN http://earthissues.multiply.com/photos/a...

A cocktail of events and a lot of the ingredients have MAN written all over them

So it is safe to assume that we should look at ourselves ,just a teeny bit ,for possible improvements ,and rectifying Eco errors that are with in our powers.

    What is a safer bet

to be or not to be

  8. Global warming is casued by us.

  9. Real, mostly caused by us.

We KNOW it's not the Sun (as your websites claim), because we measure the Sun.

"Recent oppositely directed trends in solar

climate forcings and the global mean surface

air temperature", Lockwood and Frolich (2007), Proc. R. Soc. A

    doi:10.1098/rspa.2007.1880

    http://www.pubs.royalsoc.ac.uk/media/pro...

    News article at:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6290228.st...

More reasons it's not the Sun.

    http://www.mpg.de/english/illustrationsD...

    http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/...

    This from Fox no less.

"While evidence suggests fluctuations in solar activity can affect climate on Earth, and that it has done so in the past, the majority of climate scientists and astrophysicists agree that the sun is not to blame for the current and historically sudden uptick in global temperatures on Earth, which seems to be mostly a mess created by our own species."

    http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,2583...

One scientist has said "The problem with driving another nail into the coffin of solar warming is finding a place to put it".

There's a lot less controversy about this is the real world than there is on Yahoo answers:

    http://www.worldpublicopinion.org/pipa/a...

And vastly less controversy in the scientific community than you might guess from the few skeptics talked about here:

    http://www.sciencemag.org/cgi/content/fu...

EVERY major scientific organization has issued an official statement that this is real, and mostly caused by us.  The National Academy of Sciences, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Institute of Physics, the American Chemical Society, the American Geophysical Union, the American Meteorological Association, etc.

Do you think those folks are just going by what Al Gore says?

    And that's the truth.

  10. Fortunately, we have scientists studying this and our opinions are irrelevant. If we didn't have them, we would have to rely on the oh so qualified opinions of many of the other posters with opinions such as "volcanoes spew much more than humans ever have," or some debunked-a-thousand-times uninformed statement. I firmly believe man is affecting the climate, as does every mainstream scientific organization on the planet.

    http://www.agu.org/sci_soc/policy/positi...

EDIT - Why should we present both sides of the AGW theory when mainstream science is on one side?

And if you want to stand by a guy who believes in (the author from your 1st link)...

"exploring the Principle of Universal Love, the principle that is reflected to some degree in every bright period throughout history with the added challenge for today to give our universal love an active expression in a type of ' Universal Kiss' for all mankind."

instead of scientists for your science, you are already too far gone!

And your other link only speaks to water vapor, not CO2. WTF!

  11. I do not believe it is caused by human activity at all.  This climate change has been going on back and forth before we had cars.  I cannot support Al Gore because of his motives to place a carbon tax on people .

  12. i was watching this astronomy show hosted by sam niell,i forget the name,he was on about how the earth, in relation to the sun is in a "safe zone",not too hot ,not too cold, where life exists, but the sun is getting hotter and our safe zone is moving, soon the earth will be a dead planet.well not soon as in a short time, i guess he meant thousands of years?.or did he mean sooner than that?
