I'm on the Speech team and my Speech is about Global Warming. I want to know what your views are on this "hot" issue, the history of how it started, and any useful websites that can help me lengthen my speech. Thank You!

It's a lie.  And nobody cares about global warming this time of year.

Global Warming is false because:

1. Self Stability - An increase in temp’ would cause an increase in cloud cover, which would deflect sunlight and UV rays from getting in, which reduces the temp.

2. False Measurement - We are basing our estimates of warming on instruments used in the 40s, 50s, 60s. Can we really believe what they used to mes' temps 50 years ago? Give Me a break.

3. Margin of Error - even the measurements we use today have a margin of error of +or- of 1 1/2 %. so if we are doing mes' of 2 degrees how do we not that is not just error.

4. Location of mes' - it is known that cities rate in higher than in the rural areas - this is b/c large concrete cities trap heat and so the tools measure the temp higher.

5. No link - there is no link of warming to increased carbon output or human effects.

6. Sunspot cycle - any warming that may be occurring is due to the normal sunspot cycle.

Sha-bam! Take that Al Gore... in your face!

You could show all the lies in the Al Gore movie.  That would take a while since it's almost completely fabricated.  Even the graphs have been altered.

Search on global warming and find the real graphs and compare them to the altered ones in Gore's bogus movie.

This winter has been the wettest and coldest in years.  The global warming theory is crazy....I'm worried about the up coming ice age!

First there is a chance that it does not exist, but that does not matter at all. Second, there is no reason except the human distate for change to risk global warming. Finally, we are all going to die from global warming because the Bible says so.

First, if you do not understand Chi Square, Anova, and just a little about probability and statistics at all it is no wonder that you are not certain that global warming exists.  We can all understand this math. Let's say there is only a 40% chance that global warming exists, and every scientist that thinks it may not exist thinks the odds are better than that. Then we all agree that there is a 40% chance life will be eliminated from the Solar System and possibly the Universe by our actions. It doesn't matter if the doubters are correct the consequences of being wrong are too high to take a chance.

Once we all agree that there even a tiny chance that we are doing the worst thing imaginable. What are the costs? We have to change where we get our energy from. Scary. Humans are ridiculously lazy about learning anything new.   Not very long ago the economy of the western world was based on domestic service. Energy came from wood and coal, and pete. People fought the change to industrialization but somehow we muddled through that. This is just another change. This time from coal and petroleum to nuclear, wind, and solar. We will be glad about it soon. Really if you all changed from Windows to Mac within 2 months you would be so glad you did, but you won't because you are afraid that you will not know how to use it. All that we have to give up is polluted air.

None of this matters any way because God himself told Noah that the next time he destoys the earth it will be by fire. We all assumed that a fireball would come down from God's hand but we also thought it would be a nuclear war, and finally the sun expanding to engulf the earth. Why couldn't the fire just be fossil fuels burning on the earth until there is enough Carbon Dioxide to cause global warming.

Even if there is only a 20% chance that we are correct believing destroying all life in the solar system it just does not matter that there is an 80% chance that there is no global warming. All that we have to give up is bad smelly air, and it is just our human nature that keeps us from wanting to change it all. Of course, in the end whether the fire that God will destroy the Earth with has been burning since the dawn of the industrial age it does not matter life on the planet will end eventually any way.

Well you are in for a tough time because people either see the reality of it or have their heads up their butts since failing grade 5 geography.   Good luck with that.  Just be sure that it is a real concern.  Research will give you the answers.  Don't take anything here as truth not even what I say.  Though I promise you I know what I am talking about.

Glib answers, about how cold it is so it proves that global warming is false, are further proof of the mass ignorance pervading Yahoo answers, among other places.

When the earth was hot and the dinosaurs roamed, the atmosphere had a lot more carbon dioxide.  That allowed lots of plants to live, but plants take carbon dioxide out of the air.  Over time the plants (and the animals that ate them) took on that carbon dioxide and the atmosphere had less and thus was able to cool without the greenhouse effect of the carbon dioxide.  The dinosuars and plants became oil, which still contained the CO2.  Then humans came along and started burning the oil to put the CO2 back into the air, which raises the temp again like it did millions of years ago.

Very simple really.  Only Bush and his supporters deny it.
