is there really any point doing any thing? we cant stop it can we? We can only slow it down

the way to go would be to have the people who will try so save the world on one continent and all the people who wont try on another.  The ozone layer isnt uniform so theyl die, and when they do we can move in and fix it up.

Global warming is a natural phase of Earth, caused by some Solar Activities by Sun. We human don't have to bother about it. Some of the environmentalist says that this is because of the CO2 we are emitting into the environment, but the reality is that we are just contributing towards 1% to 10% of actual global warming.

If the actual cause of Global Warming is CO2 emitted by the humans then why Global Warming occures on other planets. Just Google for "Global Warming on other planets" and see the results, there are no humans on other planets.

Having too little CO2 in the environment will cause for the plants to die more early, more over it also cools down the temperature on earth.

Having too much CO2 (obiviously, not caused by humans. Mostly generated in the Sea/Oceans) will lead to Green House effect and will lead in increasing the temperature on Earth.

So, the best is to plant more trees so that there would be a balance for the consumption of CO2 on the planet.

I personally think that instead of thinking on this baseless issue try to think on what if Nuclear War broke out in the world, it will destroy Earth more rapidly.

So, next time whenever somebody says you about global warming, just ignore it.

We cant stop it because we are experiencing global warming right now, but we can help reducing it to its level like planting trees and prohibiting burning...recycling and other natural ways.

We don't know that we can't stop it.  We only know that we're totally screwed if we do nothing and stay on the current course.  

At the very least, we bring on the bad times much sooner if we do nothing.

There are some very simple and inexpensive solutions that no on is really talking much about yet:

The current birth rate that threatens to produce a worldwide population of over 9 billion is a threat that acelerates all of the other resource issues (oil shortages, rising food costs, ocean fishery depletion, deforestation, CO2 releases and global warming).

We probably can't even slow it down.  But, we can get ready for the inevitable effects.  This would be a much better use of our resources than the current muddle of name calling, finger pointing, hand wringing and futile attempts to stop what is mostly if not totally a natural event.

dont be defeatist! human innovation will find a way. we have alternative energy sources tried and tested, just need to roll them out!

also, carbon sequestration in soil, plants, and charcoal, e.g. check out many projects on bio-char and terra preta.

if not we will die back like ant other animal that outstrips its rescouces, and the balance will be reestablished anyway.

no we cannot stop it, for the most part global warming is propaganda.  If you look back into the history of weather basically everything that is happening now has happened thousands of times in earths history.  I think everyone should recycle and reduse their energy use, but will it stop our weather patterns? no it will not, atleast not for 100's if not 1000's of years from now
