Global "cooling"?

Snow in April...see they don't know what the heck they are talking about and they are teaching my kids about "global warming" which is just a load of bull.

It is global warming, just because it snowed in April doesn't mean that  its not. Winter used to actually start before Thanksgiving not In January. We used to get tons of snow and always had a white Christmas. They also look at the glaciers and there is so much melting at such a quick rate that that is what global warming is.

my uneducated brain says Global warming effect may be to warm earth, but doing so it will melt down the glacers. When they are melt the water temp will decrease, so the water vapors and air will be much colder than before. So when global warming happends it will be extremely cold in winter and extremely hot in summer. But I don't no that.... cuz I'm just a stupid emo...oooo i m so stupid i m so stupid o_O

The true warning sign of a snake oil salesman.  Taking anything that happens as a sign that the salesman know what in the world they are talking about.  We have broken all time records for cold this month in several locations.  This may not mean that we have Global Cooling, but I promise you that this summer when it hits 100 degrees here in Texas, I will have to listen to all of the Socialists screaming at the top of their lungs about how this proves Global Warming will kill us all unless we let government take over our lives and put Al Gore in charge.  I don't think we are in a Global Cooling cycle right now, but I also don't believe that we are all about to fry to a cinder because of the US carbon output.

Global warming refers to overall average temperatures across the whole planet--not local short-term weather conditions.  Global warming is real--get over it already.

Look, Global Warming isn't going top happen overnight. It is a long process that does include cooling in any area and at a time that it isn't usually cold. That is what's known as a warning sign.

Are you going to wait until all of us are fighting for space on the mountaintops to be convinced? We are pumping tons of pollution into the same environment that we depend on for life. Is that not a concern?

The snow on Mt. Fuji is almost gone, the ice caps are shrinking, the ocean levels are rising, and YES there are glaciers that are growing.

Like I said, it won't heat up everywhere at the same time. There are reactions to heating, that is called cooling. But the fact is the Earth's atmosphere is heating up, and we need to do something to curb our influence on a naturally occurring process.

And we aren't CAUSING Global Warming, we are ACCELERATING it.

You use a bit of snow in April to say the earth is cooling?  Where have you been?  If the earth is cooling, why are glaciers on every single continent disappearing?  If the earth is cooling, why is the area of Arctic ice shrinking?  If the earth is cooling, why have 2 major ice shelves in the Antarctic shrunk?  If the earth is cooling, why will Mount Everest be bare soil to the top in a few years?  By the way, warming can cause increased snow cover in Arctic areas at the same time as the ice is melting.

If gradual global warming were occurring, you might see snow in April. Two reasons:

(1) There are still going to be the usual kinds of year-to-year variation that we've always seen. In gradual warming this "signal" is large compared to the underlying trend.

(2) Global warming will change weather patterns around the world. In some places it may get colder because certain air and ocean currents have shifted. Overall, however, on the average, the planet (the surface of land & ocean plus atmosphere at low elevations) will be warming.

Conclusion: Snow in April doesn't meaning anything global-warming wise, especially just one occurence of it.  

PS: In some places snow in April is common. I've lived in two of them - Maine and Colorado. I assume that you live in a place where it isn't common, obviously, based on the way your question is worded.

Why don't you do some research on the subject before deciding that all these scientists are teaching a load of bull? Snow in April is only one of the warning signs that has been predicted. If you open your eyes, and your mind, you would see that there is much more happening to the environment and ecosystem.
