Global warming, the truth from someone?

I talked to my parents this morning, one lives in PA the other in NY, and they both said it was cold! Like teens cold, so what is all this c**p about global warming? Last year was one of the coldest on record, and this year may just beat it. Doesn't this prove that Al Gore and his "global warming" is just a bunch of c**p?

Um, you might want to check your facts.  According to NASA, last year was tied for the 2nd-warmest on record.

Global warming doesn't make everywhere warm all the time.  It simply causes the planet's average temperature to consistently increase, as you can see in the graph linked above.

Al Gore is an alarmist. He has devoted much of his time to persuading everyone else in to being an alarmist as well. He has to. He has a financial stake in the profits to be made from getting people into a panic. (Carbon credits.)  Feeding off the guilt of the public, there's money to be made. And Al is in the middle of this. Yes, the climate is changing. But what Al and much of the media won't tell you is that it has been changing for several centuries now. It appears the Earth's normal temperature is quite tropical world wide, with fluctuations in between. There have been many climate changes in the past that affect plants and animals, and this is another one.

For some reason, humans as a group tend to blame themselves for nearly everything. Mt. Vesuvius erupts and wipes out half a population. The survivors think they are being punished for something, thus blaming themselves. A tsunami washes over a Pacific island. Again, the survivors think they did something wrong and offer sacrifices. I'm afraid the alarmists are playing on this same emotion that people have.

Anyway. There's lots of material to study on global warming - both our fault, and not our fault. I recommend reading what you can if you wish to invest the time.

Global Warming is true. it is cold in PA and NY but maybe not AS cold as it was 30 years ago? ever thought of that?!?!!?

Many scientists disagree w/Al Gore. The Earth survived many changes before us and it will survive w/o us. The problem really isn't global warming. It's w/e or not man will pollute/ and overpopulate  the Earth so that man dies out.
