  1. It is a concern. People in our Govt. want a carbon tax. Al Gore is pushing hard for it.  He will destroy the economy if he gets his way. To accomplish their goals they sell fear to the public.  It is really sad.

  2. First off everything goes in cycles, including the cycles of "hot" issues.  Wait another decade or two and there will be some new issue that the activists will be using to scare people with.  I have lived long enough to see several of these.

Back in the late 60's and early 70's the population explosion was used for political gain.  They scared people by saying that the world faced starvation and we would all be doomed by sometime in the 1980's.  There would be food riots in the cities of the U.S.

Then in the 1970's it was the environment.  We were poisoning ourselves and making our world totally uninhabitable.

It has always been thus and will always be.

Rest assured that there are some truths:

    1.  The problems are always exaggerated and over-hyped

    2.  To the extent that there is some truth in some of the assertions, we have been able to adapt.

    3.  As a human race we are not in as much control of most things as we like to pretend we are.

  3. Yeah i couldn't believe how many things global warming could tie itself to like development and production, plants, animals, land masses, water.

  4. we are the same i am also scared if that is the topic i sleep one night and dream everything about that and when i woke up I've been trauma!!

  5. Youre right , Humans are such an insane . We doesn't even think about ourselves when we are enjoying luxurious lives . We wont care what will happen if we do these  things . We are the responsible for our extinction. One day the humans will learn ...

  6. uhhh,,,,try and calm down....historically speaking for a moment....the so-called Roman warming in the 1st century AD was gonna end the world(it didnt)...a medieval warming in the llth was gonna end it(it didnt)...and a Little Ice Age had the planet on its edge from 1400 to l850(another dud).....natural physical records found in ice cores, seabed sediment, cave stalagmites and tree rings for example reveal that the l500 yr.solar driven cycle has "always" controlled the earth's climate and remain the driving force in the current warming trend..........in other words....chill!..........and just for kicks,Al Gore didnt invent the internet either!(that should've been your first clue to Al being a little off target!)

  7. yeah it is scary but i think that by the time global warming hits or  starts to have a more serious affect we will be gone. The people we need to care about are our children's children. The chemicals we produce by using the energy of fossil fuels need to be changed fast.

  8. first of all girl chill out

    everybody is gonna die anyways

second of all global warming doesnt exist

    pollution does

third of all global warming could kiss my  rockin ***

  9. In other words you are scared of big business and the governments they influence. You have reason to be I mean money buys you power and influence. Gas is going up but that may not be as bad as we all are acting. I mean think about it the more it goes up the more the people get upset, the more upset we get the more pressure the government will be under to act and really look into other fuel sources. So there are some good things that can come out of all this mess. Also food is going up due to oil prices and the increase of the minimum wage. Right now the government is paying farmers to not grow certain types of food products they are called subsidies. If the government would cut some of these then there would be more food on the market and prices would fall. The down side is that farmers would make less for their crops than they do now. Yet I do not feel sorry for many of these "farmers" because they are large businesses. I do care about the smaller family farms and think the government should help them but not these big corporate farms. That would help decrease the cost of food.

  10. I think you're completly correct. America will be hurt from this; but more importantly all humans will. So far I predict that the past will repeat itself for as long as it takes for communist ways, jihadism, liberalism , and all the other ills are destroyed. America will fall, and the world will be dark until more rebels dare to revolt. Once again repeating the cycle.

  11. We should be skeptical about "scientists" who predict climate future based on computer models. People are trying to play God by saying, 'Oh, this computer model told me 50 years from now that this IS going to happen.' That's an arguable point. and I think we should question it. But to say that someone has absolute knowledge of the future seems to me to be playing something more than a mortal.

There is a difference between thinking something is going to happen and deducing something is going to happen. But saying, 'No, I know it; the debate is over' is just plain stupid to say you know something's going to happen 50 years from now

  12. Green House effect is an phenomenon in which earth's atmosphere traps the heat from the sun & prevents it from escaping. The phenomenon is so named because earth's atmosphere acts like a greenhouse made of glass in which sunlight enters through transparent glass, but the heat released by plants in the form of infrared radiations is not allowed to escape. As a result of this , the temp. increasses inside the greenhouse.

In a similar manner, sunlight enters earth's atmosphere and heats the surface of the earth. But certain gases present in the atmosphere trap the heat emitted by earth's surface & do not allow it to escape. This causes an increase in temp. of earth's atmosphere. This is known as Global Warming.

The gases causing green house effect are called greenhouse gases. Carbon Dioxide, methane, ozone, and CFCs are the green house gases present in the atmosphere which are responsible for global warming.

And carbon dioxide could be minimised by afforestation as plants release oxygen & take carbon dioxide for the proccess of photosynthesis. So, deforestation also helps in global warming!!

    so we humans are responsible!!

i've left keeping the refrigator open when not in use...i'm not that scared but i think its high time & we must all together do something!
