Ok, a little late to the question but here's the reality and not the hype.

First, The main cause for warming is the sun, the main creator of Co2 is the ocean. Co2 was dubbed a "green house gas" because in a "laboratory" condition with all things being equal, it created higher heat levels. Problem is the Earth isn't a laboratory , there are many factors in climate and the natural warming & cooling cycles and man kind has just been "catching up" to try and understand it. As of today, the weather models can be interpreted any way you want to and are not reliable. What is reliable is what we see and hear in regards to reality. The polar bears aren't really downing, Their population has doubled since the 70's.  I've seen reports claiming the ice caps are melting and that they are increasing. The 4 main world wide weather monitors show a plateau of temperature in 1998 and temp went down 1/2 a degree in 2007 due to less sun spot activity. So if Co2 is really all that detrimental...shouldn't the  temps have kept going up ?

As for the glaciers retreating, that still seems debateable depending on who you ask, but I'm thinking if someone lied to me once about the polar bears and stuff...what's stopping them from lying to me about something else.

Why was the ozone hole the largest in 1956 before the use of CFC's ? it wasn't due to man, it was a natural occurance due to the extreme low temperatures in the region...yet the enviromental band wagon forced us through government to give up CFC...then  other products that they deemed not enviormentally friendly.

Now they claim that the planet is taking a 10 year break from its warming cycle ? How convenient. I'm not saying warming doesn't exist, What i'm saying is it is a natural cycle. Going back over 100 years of newspapers you will find 2 full cycles of heating, then cooling, then heating then cooling again. We were supposedly suppose to have a mini ice age in the 70's. What happened there ?

These people have no credibility. They've lied to get their agenda done, they've contradicted themselves. Many of these so called gobal warming scientists are on someone's pay list its been found.

We need to revert back to the good ole days were we practice practical conservation and stop the hyped catastrophy of global warming.

Arsenic is a pollutant, lead, & carcinogenics are pollutants, Not Co2.

4. White reflects all colours of light and almost all heat. Some heat is absorbed tho. This ice usually covers the water too...well most of it. Basically it heats up the water faster. Since the ice is floating in it, it warms up the ice faster than when the sun hits it. When the earth warms, the water warms more quickly, causing a faster receding ice

1. The biggest cause is the burning of fossil fuels releasing CO2 and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Add to that the reduction of carbon absorbing systems (such as forests and the amazon).

2. More and more wildland is being developed for use as farmland and human habitats.

3. The amount of greenhouse gases begins to exponentially increase as the amount of pollution goes up, and the natural methods of reducing carbon in the air is decreased.

4. This creates a vicious cycle in which the global temperature increases, melting more of our polar caps (which would normally reflect the suns rays, and keep our temperatures lower) which causes the earths temperatures to increase, which melts more polar ice caps.

2. False, CO2 is not released into the atmosphere because a forest is cut down. If the wood is used to build a house, then the CO2 is effectively locked up until the house or furniture is disposed of. And if it is disposed of by putting it in a land fill, then the CO2 is not released directly into the air. BTW, CO2 is ALWAYS present in the atmosphere. It is a necessary gas for our survival.

4. Not a good question. Glaciers have been melting for about 20,000 thousand years. The current melting is a natural continuation of this cycle. As for the effect of ice fields melting because of warming, no conclusion can be made. Because there are more than one effect taking place. If the world warms and melts glaciers, then more cloud cover would be expected due to the increased humidity. Low level clouds provide substantial reflection of light back into space, just like glaciers. So i have never seen a study which has been able to determine which would be greater.
