Global warming and global irresponsability?

why is the world unable to agree on the question of global warming and come up once and for all with an adequate answer concerning this issue? We all know the activities that accelerate global warming. Are we ( humans) suddenly impressed with the idea of quitting this world?

  1. most of the world agrees.

it's only the US that's holding up progress.

people, not all, but many, in the US are just too greedy to care.

    consider the magazines we read.

    US

    SELF

(i'm expecting AMERICAN NARCISSIST next year - guaranteed successful.)

    who do we vote for?

someone who promises a tax cut.

even if that cut must be paid for by deficits.

which is stealing from our children.

    and we're in denial.

obviously the world oil supply is running low.

yet it takes $4.00 a gallon gas to make us think about it.

it's not that we care about the world.

consider how many people think that our government needs to address the price of gas, instead of our wasteful use of it.

we are stupid, greedy, self centered, uncaring, irresponsible, bigots.

maybe when the oil lobby moves out of the white house, there'll be a better example set.

    i sure hope so.

and hope that there is still some sense of responsibility left.

  2. Actually we don't know what accelerates Global Warming and any calls to investigate further are stifled by watermelons bleating the science is settled. Science is never settled.

  3. Global warming is a scam...  The only warming that is going on is the warming of Al Gore's house to the tune of $30,000, paid for by GW scam money.  Keep buying into this mumbo jumbo and you will find yourself out of work, homeless and trying to seek out some warmth of any kind on the street.

  4. The problem is that the warmers have done a shoddy job of developing their argument.  They have used and continue to use faulty data to develope their climate predictions.  Intelligent people have seen through their voo-doo science and the ranks of the warmers continue to dwindle as their tactics are exposed.

There is a laughable poll out there done by WPO (tied up with the U of Maryland, I believe) that suggests that almost the entire population of the Earth agrees that man is the cause of climate change.

Even hard left media sponsored polls show that such is definitely not the case.... Time/ABC.

I am still waiting for the warmers who knee-jerk reacted with  the corn ethanol scam... to apologize to the millions of people who are now starving to death because of the erroneous belief that corn ethanol would pollute less than regular gasoline.

People...... PLEASE don't fall for this scam.....PLEASE!!

  5. People who don't notice climate change and weather change need to travel more.

  6. Democracy is tough.

The G8 leaders are mostly in disfavor in their countries, for various reasons; poor economies, starting unnecessary wars, etc.  Hard to lead a bold change with that going on.

The global warming denial movement is still strong, causing some confusion in the public.  That free speech thing.

Some people find it hard to accept that some scientists measuring stuff and putting down numbers on paper means THEY have to do some work.  They want to have it clearly apparent to their own eyes before they'll bestir themselves.

Then there are the "it's a commie plot to take away our freedom" folks.

We'll get there.  In time to avoid some really hard times?  Beats me.

  7. The world has agreed on the causes of global warming.  See the 'Public Opinion' section here:

    http://greenhome.huddler.com/wiki/global...

And we're working on solutions.  We know the solution is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (scientists recommend an 80% worldwide reduction by 2050), so it's just a question of how we meet these emissions reductions targets.
