Global warming/ climate change?

Question

i have to write a short fictional story involving global warming

i know all the main stuff that will happen because of this, but i need some other stuff

like when the climate first starts to change drastically, will it be hotter or colder?

if hot, will it be too hot to grow crops before its too hot to live?

will california and southern states become hotter before more northern states and be like mass migration to the great lakes ?

what would it be like to live a daily life before the climate changes so much that it destroys everyone or whatever

im not looking for a lecture on whether its really happening or not, or how much worse it is then im making it sound

just any help/ideas would be appreciated

Some important things (especially for dramatic fiction) you left out.

It will be drier most everywhere except the poles.  Drought will be the main thing damaging agriculture, not heat.

Storms will generally be more powerful, since heat fuels storms.

The main migration won't be north, it will be away from the coast.

In poor countries food shortages, due to damaged agriculture, will be a serious problem.
