Of course, you know this isn't new information.  It is by espousing this truthful information that thousands of naysayers have been roasted at the stake by the global warming alarmists wanting to make sure they cash in on the huge amounts of money to be had before they recant.

Al Gore's "Inconvenient Lie" has been debunked but not apologized for yet.  And we have ASK will he give back the Nobel prize that he fraudulently received...or will he keep it and stay out of the way as we try to recover from his misdeeds.

Earth will recover, will our trust in politicians?

Carefully pick a few data point that match the desired outcome.

Draw a straight line through the points, well in the general location of the points.  Then pretend that things will go on forever at the rate projected.  Make the projection far enough out that it is completely unprovable, then attack anyone who questions the projection.

Easy, a scam as old as "The King Has No Clothes" or Chicken Little.

Same technique as ozone depletion.  Exploit the discovery of a hole in the ozone over Antarctica in 1985.  Ignore the fact that we have no idea how many 1000 years it may have been there.  Make fantastic, starry, predictions of how man is destroying the ozone the find some business to extort money from like the makers of air conditioning fluid and hair spray.

When people realize the hole opens and closes every year, pretend the problem has been solved and go on to the next scam, in this case global warming.

One scam after another will grow government and drain our incomes until we grow up and stop believing the "Sky Is Falling" crowd.

Your question is very good point, but .... Given increasing natural disaster, unusual temperture decreasing icy area of the north pole, and some endangered species, we must think more seriously. Even if some data about global warming was fudged, it would not be a big deal. Because Global Warming confronts people on the earth anyway.

Like I have said for a while now, the data can easily be manipulated.  The story continues with the global warming debate.  I will not believe the hype until there is overwhelming evidence, even though a few on these boards will tell you there IS overwhelming evidence.  This also brings up the point that NASA has stated we are heading into a 30 year cooling period because of PDO.  They state it will "mask" the effects of global warming.  A few years ago they stated the next 30 years will warm dratically, by about 1-2 degrees.  

There is a ton of debate on the issue, but I will remain skeptical until I believe the evidence is there.  I won't take the word of someone who has an agenda or whose only "peer-reviewed" papers are reviewed by their "buddies".
