I think if they dont know about it they wont grow up thinking they should do something about it. I think it is a good idea to teach them "clean living". This way they will learn to recycle, save energy, and care about our planet. As for tellin them that the world is overheating, I think you should take great care in how you tell them that our world is on life support and needs their help.

(As for me, this is a great reason for me not to have kids)

yes  you should but in a way that  that  won't worry... don't say TURN OFF THAT LIGHT OR WERE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!

pull them aside and talk to them   say there is a reason why turning off that light is important. (explain global warming as you see it) then say to them by turning of lights ( or what ever it is they were doing) we can help to prevent this from happening..

you're helping your kids be informed and proactive about global warming.  it will help them out greatly for when they are older as you learn best when you are young. so by telling your kids about global warming you are helping to prevent it!
