I know some people are skeptic about global warming, and that is OK. everything needs to be checked for validity according to science (but it also shouldnt be ignored for convience as well) MY question to the skeptics who do NOT want to make industries clean up their act b/c global warming might not be real is this: Why would you want pollution in the air anyways? It has other harmful affects that are even more immediate than global warming.

  1. EVERYTHING IN AUTO EXHAUST OTHER THAN CO2 AND WATER VAPOR IS ALREADY HIGHLY REGULATED BY THREE LEVELS OF GOVERNMENT, NATIONAL, STATE AND IN SOME CASES CITY.

  2. The effects of pollution are too obvious and undeniable.... I wouldn't doubt it for a second!

  3. Skeptics aren't against cleaning up, we are against man being blamed for causing global warming, and many don't believe the globe is warming anymore anyway. Of course we need to find cleaner fuels and stop polluting the air we breathe, but telling us that we caused it so we have to pay for it is so wrong. It's a bit like telling a man that farted on top of a volcano that he caused it to erupt.

  4. Yes we should take better care of this world.

We should take better care of resources.

I never said we should keep driving SUVs or buy the big homes we can't afford.

I am all in favor of conserving.

I just object to the lies use to tell us that we should do it.

  5. We are.  We're putting up wind turbines, making industrial products more efficient and using less energy, finding ways to use waste and recycle.  These are all what's good with a capitalistic society.

Just because a person doesn't accept the dogma of "global warming" that doesn't mean that person like pollution.

  6. I completely agree.  Sure I think global warming is a reality, but even if it wasn't doesn't it just make sense to develop cleaner industry methods, even if it's just to help the planet for future generations.

  7. There are many little things that we can do that will save us money.  That is always a good thing.  Right now, we are collectively dependent on the utility systems to provide us with electricity and gas, telephones and gasoline.  I'd like to be in the position in which I could generate my own electricity to power my house and provide for my automotive transportation.

  8. Absolutely!!!!  Both of my vehicles are hybrids....  We should conserve, not waste, recycle and do everything that we possibly can to preserve this planet...  Killing plants by taking away their oxygen (CO2) isn't one of them....

So, even though I cannot stand the lies Gore has perpetuated, I do think that we are ALL responsible to do our parts in preserving the natural resources that we have...

Oh I hear you...  Gore altered facts though...  He misled the American people with that movie by totally excluding the fact that CO2 is an effect and not a cause...  His big huge hockey stick of a graph that wasn't true angered a lot of people and so it conveniently disappeared, however, the graph itself was of factual data up until his doomsday prediction...

Except for the fact that if you look closely, CO2 follows temperature instead of leads it....  In other words, when it gets hot, then CO2 tries to later catch up and probably does more to cool the earth by feeding and propagating more plantlife that absorbs sunlight and provides shade.  A major mistake that those here think is a 'minor' mistake that was pointed out by that UK Judge, but is merely minor because it doesn't suit the doomsday theorists.

  9. VERY good question.  For all the skeptics, they should still want to be good environmental citizens.
