Global warming hoax???

The scientific evidence of global warming is inconclusive. There is no solid proof that human activity has caused climate changes. Could it be that man-made global warming is is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people?

  1. its a political agenda, not a hoax. slight if any difference. they pay experts and have anyone with a moderate to low iq believing in it. anyone who look sat earth history (not human history) knows that global warming is what ended the last 3 ice ages, and even brought "snowball earth" to an end. it happens ALL the time (astronomically speaking) its just on its next heat up phase. plus the co and the methane release from the bottom of the ocean is 12-15times higher then any humans coudl EVER release.. but of course no one will report on that.. it has no pillitical bearing. so its ignored...

  2. I think hoax is too strong a word. There is political pressure to tout the evidence that does exist that says people are the cause and even more political pressure to suppress the evidence that does exist to say people are not the cause. But calling it a hoax is going too far. Call it a special interest, political pressure group that has been VERY successful.

  3. were are loseing the polar bears from globle warmming.that,s not a hoax.

  4. one of them

  5. FACT OR FICTION

    FICTION

for many North Americans ,but they are used to fiction and feel more comfortable with fairytales instead of the truth,

Many blindly believe that our fate is in Gods hands ,and their focus is on the beautifull heaven that awaits ,they are not to concerned with the world their children will inherrit

whilst others wish to enjoy an Earthly paradise ,with out having to die first, they care what happens here and want to help the planet

there may come a time that for the sake of our survival the two views will be seperated in to Enemies and friends of the planet

World leaders are not concerned with the well being of the masses ,on the contrary .it was stated at a conference in Copenhagen,in 1998,by Kissinger, that the Agenda demanded a decrease in the world population of 60%,and you cannot achieve this if you start saving everybody.

scientists who work for politicians ,get paid by these politicians and they have downplayed the facts because solutions are expensive and means change and change effects many peoples incomes, and upsets profit margins,so most of the world is kept in the dark of the real things that are going on.for political and economic reasons

HOWEVER CLIMATE CHANGE IS FACT FOR MILLIONS

Global warming is a very complex collection of many effects

this text only covers some aspects of global warming mainly man made desertification

industrial contamination ,the contaminating effects of the cities ,is another story

there are natural cycles in the planets life

but mans existance has its effects, and this is increasing with overpopulation, putting strains on Natural resources and increasing contaminations as well as destructions of essential componants the ensure living conditions for all life forms

in North Africa,India,Mexico ,millions of people are effected by land loss and desertification and some have died as a result

in china, thousands of what used to be farmers are running for their lives from the dust storms that have burried their towns and turned their lands into dessert,

,the Sahara is growing by 7 kilometers a year

and all of the desserts we know are a results of mans actions ,and they are increasing ,not getting less ,in the dinosaurs days ,there were very few desserts.

collectively this planet is drying up because of bad farming practices like, over grazing and fertilizers,

each degree rise in temperature means 10%crop loss

and there is less and less water (because of deforestation),to irrigate this production ,

and there are less and less farmers to do it..

and there are 70 million more peole every year that have to eat and drink and wash

who are overpumping deep carbon aquifiers

who are plowing more and more unstable lands because they have lost so many million hectares to desertification ,

because of bad farming practises ,such as using fertilizers and heavy machinary or over grazing

    RISING SEAS

The northpole is melting ,and we will know it without ice in our life times.

this does not affect the sea level because it is ice that is already in the water.but the melting ice from Green land and the south pole ,are another matter.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/natur...

if forrest are being exchanged for ashalt, concrete and desserts

what is gonna keep this planet habitable for us

We as humanity can behave in a less stressful manner as far as the Environment is concerned ,but it will mean global co operation between all countries ,and taking into account human nature and the world politics ,it is unlikely that this will happen,

  6. I find it interesting that Greenland, which is now known for ice, was at one time warm enough that it was colonized by the vikings.  Yes, we may be a few degrees warmer than a few hundred years ago, but this is just the natural cycle of the earth's temperatures - the joke is that the people propagandizing the global warming movement haven't taken an accurate look at the Earth's history.

  7. Not the greatest hoax but it is a brilliant one.  There is nothing that any scientist could do to really disprove the global warming crowd.  They have disproved the CO2 causes global warming idea and the majority of people still believe it does.  All we can really do is wait and see if all the cataclysmic predictions come true.  Do not worry, global warming would have to occur at a much faster rate to actually destroy the human race, let alone the planet.

  8. Why would it be a hoax on the American People ? It is world-wide accepted except now by the two largest emitters of CO2 which are the US and China.

So I guess when you were the fastest on the motorway, there is an obvious interest in telling that speed and mortality are not connected.

ONLY in the US is the global warming phenomenon still discussed. This has maybe also to do with the fact that the US hosts one of the greatest number of oil companies.

Not to mention that I also get a lot of people telling me how not harmful coal is and these people are from Virginia...

Well I don´t care, if in 20 years you realize that the Sun intensity had nothing to do with it and there wasn´t a question about earth cycles then your country will be in the worst position ever since you will have to do the same efforts in half the time and by having tried to save a ver little bit your economy will then really be devastated. But that´s not my problem.

And you can still be happy that global warming isn´t stronger thanks to all the dust which reduced the solar radiation on the ground level.

  9. That’s a typic american point of view.

USA are one of the worst countries for environment: if everybody would live as an American, we’d need 8 planet Earth.

I’m French, and I know French people aren’t perfect, but we agree now that we have something to do with the environment, and we have no choice.

Do or die (or let your children die, which is worse)

I don’t care if human activity has caused climate changes: humans are responsible of it, anyway, just because there is no other animal who can change this global warming.

    But it’ just my opinion!

  10. Nope.

Global warming is real and mostly caused by us.

There's an overwhelming amount of verified and peer reviewed scientific data that says that.  Short and long summaries.

Science is quite good about exposing bad science or hoaxes:

There's a lot less controversy about this is the real world than there is on Yahoo answers:

And vastly less controversy in the scientific community than you might guess from the few skeptics talked about here:

James Rogers, CEO of Charlotte-based Duke Energy.

"The overwhelming majority of atmospheric scientists around the world and our own National Academy of Sciences are in essential agreement on the facts of global warming and the significant contribution of human activity to that trend."

Russell E. Train, former environmental official under Presidents Nixon and Ford

"Global warming is already starting, and there's going to be more of it. I think there is still time to deal with global warming, but we need to act soon. Humans now control global climate, for better or worse."

    "climate science from climate scientists"

  11. YES!!!! I love that quote. William Gray, right? He's really smart. Another quote from him: "The degree to which you believe global warming is causing major hurricanes to increase is inversly proportional to your knowledge about these storms." Isn't that great?

I totally agree with you. The science is speculative, weak, and incomplete. Whoever believes that man is causing the WHOLE ATMOSPHERE to change just by driving our cars too much really needs to research the matter better, and not start with the TV.

(My reply to Bob, answer somewhere before mine: the IPCC report is a pack of lies!!!!! In their 1995 report, the IPCC published a chart showing the Medieval Warm Period, the Little Ice Age, and then our current modest warming trend. But then in 2001, was the chart the same? NO! The MWP and the LIA were erased!!! The climate appeared stable until humans came and messed with it. WHAT A LIE!! And you know what? The creator of the hockey-stick graph, Phil Jones, said this, "Why should I make the data available to you, when your just going to try to find something wrong with it?" HELLO? That's the whole point of science! To find flaws with theories so we can make them better! The moment people start hiding their evidence like that, so know one can argue with them, an organization like the IPCC ceases to be a scientific, and becomes political. Why should we listen to politicians? Bob mostly quotes politicians. We should listen to scientists!!!)

Global Warming is happening, but it is not anthropogenic, and it won't be as harmful as these radical alarmists say it sill be. Hurricanes aren't worse (there were no hurricanes to make U.S. landfall in 2006), the polar bears aren't dying out (studies show that they're flourishing in areas of the Arctic where warming is occuring), and sea level isn't rising hardly at all (it would take 1000 years to raise the sea even ten meters.)
