  1. Global warming is real. Look at how fast the ice caps are melting. They will be gone if we keep what we are doing up. Lots of animals are dieing because there homes are melting away.   What you can do is recycle.

  2. Whether you believe in global warming or not, you can still help protect the environment in the same ways.

  3. I agree with you - most scientists don't believe we are a major influence on climate change!  However, I am very aware that the rainforests are getting chopped down faster than they are recuperating, and that we are getting more and more water shortages, and that food shouldn't be flown half the way round the world when it can be grown here, and I recycle because we can't keep filling landfills and then moving on.  So I work on those things.  There are hundreds of things you can do!  Just to make this world or this area a nicer place, without worrying about some ozone that you can't change!

  4. Use your com men sense

  5. If you don't care about global warming, do not recycle.  But if you want to 'help out' with water pollution, don't throw your trash in the lake, i.e., do not pollute.

  6. Locking yourself inside of a box, telling yourself there's nothing wrong with the world.

Some of you people are funny. Global warming does actually exist, it's not a myth. The arguement is whether or not we're going through it NOW. You obviously don't know what you're doing if you don't know how not to litter and save household energy.

  7. i think its a little bit rubbish too, but i did start recycling coke cans :)

  8. There are many ways to help out the environment

    1. plant more plants that helps the environment

2.also help care of animals, not abuse them

3.turn off lights when not needed

4.don't drive cars as much because it cause water pollution and which can harm the fishes and animals living there becaus it will warm up the water, and cold-blooded animals need a certain temp. to live in.

    Hope that helps

  9. how can you say global warming is rubbish?? the world is heating up, no matter what you believe the cause is, whether it be pollution or just nature taking its course...it is an actual fact that the global temperature is rising. this is a problem ...

you could help out by recycling, reducing waste so as to not add to landfill sites which are an eye sore and terrible for the environment.

you could also recycle paper etc to help cut down on deforestation.

this sounds a bit small, but i have the opinion that every little counts.

and global warming = not rubbish!!!! (thought id add that again lol)

    xx

  10. I agree with you. Why the h**l would you trust someone (Al Gore) who owns millions of dollars in stocks in the company that controls the oil fields in Bakersfield, CA?

Anyway, you can help the environment by recycling, using less electricity and fuel, using natural or organic products, using less water, and simply buying less stuff at the mall. Not only will you save money, you will reduce the amount of harmful waste that you send into the environment.

Go here: http://www.greenlivingtips.com  This site has a lot of simple things you can do to help the environment.

  11. I agree that global warming is a load of rubbish. I think it's the next Y2K: a big hype that will all amount to nothing in the end.

Anyway, recycling helps conserve resources. Properly disposing of things like motor oil and old paint keeps them from seeping into the water table. Using organic fertilizers and lawn care products also helps keep ground water from being polluted. Planting trees helps clean pollution out of the air, provides shade (thus reducing cooling costs in summer), and provides places for wildlife to live and feed.

  12. The little orange bar means not only that I endorse the concept of human-induced global climate change, it means that you and I share something in common.  A desire to live sustainably.  You can take it as far as you want to go -- embrace it a little, or swallow it whole, make it a way of life.  It's up to you and what fits.

Buy local, grow organic.  Plant native species.  Plant trees.  Your question is very general, so I'll offer you a few links that I've found to be useful in learning about the sustainable life.
