Global warming???

Question

How can we take care of it if we can't even take care of ourselves? We're destroying it, ourselves, and the things around us. Do you really think we can stop it if only a quarter of people believe it? And, less than that do something about it?

Climate change is a natural part of the Earth. It has occured since the rocks cooled off.

Man-made global warming is a myth ... and besides, you're late. The newest one is to trot out the man-made global cooling story. It's all the rage these days.

Don't assume that only a quarter of people believe it, based on what you see here.  

People could certainly conserve.  Small things do indeed add up to have big effects.  

Dont believe the stuff about it being a scam to sell  green products.  Sure, people will often try to capitalize on a new trend.  That has nothing to do with the legitimacy of the trend.  

And if that were so, why is big business going for alternative energy at their own factories, office buildings, stores etc?  They see the economic sense in it.  That's why.

Who I wouldn't trust are those who think we can go on doing things the way we always have.

That's were the really big money is.  And they want it to stay there.  As in oil. e.g.

Most credible scientists say we are causing it.

Even Al Gore's movie showed a natural warming trend, on top of which was CO2  spike in the last century that was off the chart for any such trend in at least the last 400,000 years.  

Green is good even if we aren't causing global warming.  We've know that for decades before this became a big issue.  The things that we do to reduce global warming are exactly what we should be doing, regardless.

the government beleives it but wont do anything about it, see how they have allowed high horsepower low mpg vehicles to be made in the last20 years, instead of mandating flex fuel, and hybrids, and where is all this hydrogen fuel research!

Well if you try to take care of your earth, you take care of yourself. So try to recycle and drive less which will cause less population and it will posstively effective on earth and you.

Hydrogen is not the answer.  If you fill your tank with hydrogen in the morning and park your car overnight, it will be empty the next day.  Flex fuel contaminate just like any fuel, they are all hydro carbons The only answer is electric, and they knew that when the first car came out.  Battery technology has come a long way, but the Automobile and Oil Co. are fighting it.

It is true the earth goes through cooler and hotter periods since time began.But to say human activity plays no part in global warming is silly.Simple physics can prove this if you pump billions of tons of co2 into the atmosphere every DAY,it will react in some way.it doesn't just disappear it takes a very long time to disperse.The problem is Governments Govern for short periods and so have short term goals.The planet needs a long term goal,some governments just will not admit global warming is a big problem while others will have green taxes to help stop globalwarming.The first is a lie the second a money making exercise designed to make us feel good about being taxed both have the same outcome they sound good but achieve nothing politicians words mean nothing they always find ways to officially lie with statistics and scientists that toe the party line.What i do is drive a low emmission  car,I recycle everything i can,i try to cut down my carbon foot print as much as i can,i'm one ofthe quarter the other three quarters may laugh as they drive their high performance cars and fill their trash cans to over flowing but i know i'm right all i can do is my bit for my planet but at least i'm trying imay havelittle or no effect but i've 6 kids and i'm teaching them how to be respecful to our environmentandhopefully they will follow my example for the sake of their kids futures.No doubt i'll get people saying i'm brainwashed i'm not i just know the laws of physics,forevery action there is a reaction it's that simple....peace

There are many credible Scientist saying that the warming that has occurred is within the normal cycle of warming and cooling . there was a report of one place where a glacier had retreated , man made artifacts were found indicating that there had been people living there in the past,

The claim that it is man made has turned out to be the most comprehensive ,most successful Global marketing campaign in history. Think of all the new products that have been developed or old products repackaged as green and sold at higher prices to combat "Global Warming".

Big Business is loving it. They will do whatever it takes to prolong the Hype.
