  1. maybe they realise that global warming is a cycle the earth has been going through every million years or so....

Temperatures have gone through nearly two complete cycles of warming and cooling over the last 100 years.

During the period 1900 to 1940 temperatures were increasing. Then from 1940 to 1975 temperatures were decreasing. Currently, temperatures are increasing back to about where they were in the 1930's.

Overall, the total average annual temperature increase in the last century is so slight the actual amount is uncertain -- maybe 1/3° C

we can't pick and choose facts when they suit us.

  2. Because anything we can possibly do will be pointless because the developing world will continue to increase it's emissions.

  3. Because it's a waste of time and resources for something that is based on emotions and not facts.

  4. Because although  it has been proven that we are going through a global warming period, It has not been proven that it is caused by humans.

The US is one of the few nations that have not joined various acts or clubs or whatever to cut down on global warming.

Although some states and cities within the US have gotten on board.

Many people just dont want to believe it is happening, and gas and oil companies dont want to lose money.

I'm not sure if i believe it to be true or not, but just in case we should implement the precautionary principle (to a degree) just in case.  If we arent causing global warming, then we will have just been doign good for the environment.

  5. economics,it's more profitable to pay fines, and hire PR people to smooth it over with the public..........tom

  6. nothing man made on earth has anything to do with the cause to global warming. man does'nt have this kind of technology nor does man have a side effect to cause this.

  7. where going to die...maybe...by...global...warming it might be true but i think its just weather patterns occuring

  8. nice!

only at the point at which they commit to reduction; they would want to 'play up' their emissions, in order to show a better reduction subsequently.

  9. Set aside the question of global warming being real or not, there are larger issues at hand here. We are in the midst of a new energy revolution, and this is a period of human evolution just as much as the industrial or bronze ages. What will define humans in the years to come is the manner in which they use energy. Whether global warming is real or not real, we are witnessing the dawn of a new energy age, with untold possibilites for our human race, I'm excited.
