Question:

Global warming tells developing countries they can't develop?

Well take a country like Africa, it has plenty of resourses to become a developed country like Australia or America. But it doesn't because everyone is pressuring them not to touch their coal and their oil(which they do have) because it might worsen the global warming effect. So were keeping them in the dark aye? Why can't they grow and develop like the western world? Gees maybe you always want someone to be lower then you?

Imagine living a life without electricity(which is a basic need in a western civilisation) no lights so you have to sleep early; you can't talk in the dark can you? Fire would consume too much wood(that you could have used for cooking) and would take too much energy. You can't store anything so what you get you must use/consume straight away. No car so you have to walk everywhere, no clean water, no heating. Now you can't imagine living in a lifestyle like this so why keep them in the dark? why can't they live like we do? ask the greenies they'll tell u why..GW!

  1. Imagine living in a world where the weather was so unpredictable that your town gets flooded almost every year. Imagine a tornado ripping through your house ,and leveling the enitre town.  Unless the 'fairy god in the sky' wants to 'make' us a new planet,we are stuck with this one. Lets not s***w it up!

  2. I've noticed that, some areas of AGW is always blamed on the South American farmer burning down the rain forests.  Yes, it's bad, it shouldn't be done.  But can you and should you tell a farmer that lives on less a week than what you pay for a fast food burger, he shouldn't do that?  He sees what the rest of the world has and wants some of that.  Really what he wants is to feed his family.  And the best way to do that is to raise cattle or crops.

In some areas of Africa they wanted to put up a gas fired electric generator so they wouldn't have to cook over manure fires.  Using manure for fuel is not healthy and in the enclosed huts, the smoke collects and causes respiratory problems.  So these people had to state their case for a generator for safe and effective lighting and cooking.  Instead, they were shot down.  The  EPA said these people could not have the generators because the exhaust would "help increase" global warming. So the tribes continue to burn manure fires and get sick.

I learned about this about five years ago and that's what turned me off about AGW before I heard it was junk science.

  3. The climate is always changing. Global warming is a myth it is being used to extort taxes.

  4. The Alarmists program of massive depopulation is on track.

They have successfully shut down energy creation and harvesting.

  5. Sorry, but "developing countries" implies the countries in question are making progress towards becoming fully industrialized nations.  Most inhabitants of these countries have no interest in any such notion.  The only development to take place there is by outsiders.  I don't see this being a hindrance to the locals, but to the ambitions of those who wish to tap into those resources from the outside.

Note:  You don't need to send constant aid to a truly "developing" nation.  You send it to those unwilling or physically unable to provide for themselves.  In either case, there's no development taking place by ANY metric.

Edit:  And, yes, the proposals to "mitigate global warming" are all global welfare programs in practice.  It worked so well here in the States, others thought they should qualify for it too (without the hassle of becoming a citizen or moving).

  6. * There is no "scientific consensus" on global warming

    * Climate is always changing – with or without man

    * The Medieval Warm Period was significantly warmer than temperatures today – and was a golden age for agriculture, innovation, and lifespan

    * Most of Antarctica is actually getting colder

    * Hurricanes are not getting worse – our tendency to build houses in their path is getting greater

    * Many big businesses lobby for global warming policies that will increase their profits – and our costs

    * The media only recently abandoned the "global cooling" scare

    * The real agenda behind the "global warming" scare? A massive expansion of government control over the economy and our lives

  7. well you want them to stop them then  you should help stop them to don't litter and keep the planet safe try to make no litter club and help th planet.

  8. global warming is undoubtedly caused by developed countries and Africa is paying the price. That's where the consequences of global warming are deeply felt, floods, droughts, aid rains ....and the greenhouse effect.

  9. For progress to be made in mitigating global climated change, developing countries must be encouraged to step up efforts to develop sustainablly.  This is a win-win situation.  They don't shoot themselves in the foot in trying to achieve short term goals at the expense of long term progress and lifestyles, and they skip the awkward "teenage" years of post-industrial development that many countries went through.

A few sites I'll recommend for your review.

  10. You are wright, but Global Warming is a lie. The green house gas that is to cause it is not there. The plants are recycling our oxygen from CO2 ,and also our fossil fuels.

  11. You're confusing global warming with global warming mitigation.

  12. Why are you so cynical about man-kinds technological capabilities? Just because our ancestors used coal (along with the numerous lung related deaths from breathing it) doesn't mean we must limit ourselves to doing things the same way (regardless of the consequences on our own health or livelihood) forever.

All it takes is the will, a little long-term investment, and we can redesign our worlds energy system to be based on clean renewable energy.

100 years ago the idea of tearing down entire mountains to get coal out from under it was unthinkable, now it's common-place and cheap.  There's no reason why 100 years from now we won't be able to generate solar, wind, geothermal, or tidal energy cheaper than tearing down mountains to remove the coal.

You seem to set-up a false dichotomy.  Thinking that we have to either continue to use coal and oil or revert to some primitive lifestyle.  That's simply wrong.  There's a 3rd and much better option. Develop new energy sources that don't have the negative effects of coal.

  13. Worst of all they discriminate!  Oppressive regimes like China (which competes with us with their slave labor goods) is free to pollute and "develop" more than anyone, including us.  And I've never seen any place in the US that looks like this (guess they don't care about what such a large country is supposedly doing to the earth's climate)!
