  1. If you you are new to shooting go with the 19 but if you are a experianced shooter go with the 45.

I used to have a 21 and they are almost too big to carry, now I have a Glock 30 and it is just a little bit too big for summer carry,I am looking into the 30SF or the 36.

  2. The Glock 19 will result cheaper to operate.

  3. Both the Glock 19 & 21 are fine weapons. Both weapons are very similar and both have their finer and lesser points. The differences between the two pistols ultimately boil down to two points in my mind:

1.) Do you want the 9mm or a .45 ACP?

2.) Which pistol fits your hand better?

The only problem that I have with the Glock 21 is the same problem I have with any double-stack magazine .45 ACP. I have small hands and getting my paws around any .45 ACP with a double-stack mag.

Ammo will definitely be a little cheaper for the 19, but there's always something to be said for a 45.

J & G Sales has a very good selection of used Glocks including the 19 & 21. Check them out...

  4. for some reason i love the 21.if you want a versitile pistol cost wise.9mm you can go to the range and shoot it up but also have a little protection at night.

  5. The question is; is this your first gun and have you shot before.

The 9mm has less recoil and ammo is cheaper. It is great for range time and target shooting and still decent for home defense or conceal carry.

If this is your first gun and/or you do not shoot regularly, go with the 9mm.

.45 acp is a smooth shooting round but with much more recoil than the 9mm. Ammo is about 10-15 bucks more for target shooting.

I shoot both calibers in similar firearms. Springfield Armory XDs.
