  1. S&W is bigger  Glock 22 is better.  You get 15 + 1 rounds with the 22, and it looks cooler in my opinion.

  2. Don't worry about bigger, worry about what fits your needs and body size better.

.40 round has a slightly greater diameter than a .357 round, but the .357 round is designed for use in a revolver and has a much longer cartridge.  Almost all of the bullets for the .40 are heavier than most of the bullets you can select for the .357 cartridge, but there is more powder and velocity out of the .357 magnum cartridge than the .40 cartridge.  If you get an Ultralite S&W .357 Revolver it would be lighter than a Glock 22, but if you bought a S&W 686 .357 Magnum it would be longer and heavier than a Glock 22.  You can buy up to a 8 shot .357 model but you aren't going to equal the 15+1 magazine capability of a Glock 22.  .357 Magnum is a great choice for a typical revolver caliber, .40 / .38 Super / .45 / 10mm are all great typical autopistol calibers. (You can get a revolver to fire .40 with moon clips and the Desert Eagle comes in .357 as well giving you an auto pistol, but I wasn't trying to get too cute....)  Glock is a great handgun.  Tell me your need and I will recomend a choice for you.  Or let me know how exactly you want to define "Bigger" and I will narrow it down for you.

  3. S&W .357
