  1. I took a recent gun saftey course, and they mentioned that with glocks. Some models do have a small saftey mechanism on the trigger though. Keep in mind that glocks are meant for law enforcement.

  2. I own 2 Glocks, the G22 & G27 in .40 cal, and even in "hot" mode, with a round in the chamber, I have never worried about the accidental discharge, because the trigger contains a slotted safety in the trigger itself, plus it takes 5-7lbs. of pull to fire the pistol.

If you are uneasy about it, just don't keep a live round in the chamber, as it takes just a split second to rack the slide and chamber one, then pull and fire.

As far as storing them in a household with children, keep them up high, out of sight, and UNLOADED. Easy enough!

Glocks rock, and who really wants to F with a safety in a panic situation, is it ready? is the safety "on" or "off"...Oh $#!+, I just got shot trying to figure it out. :O

Best advice, become very familiar and proficient with any firearm you own, in case you need to use it.

Some of the newer Glocks have a device in the magwell grip, which allows for "locking" with a "key" to prevent firing pin strikes/ trigger pull, when stored in the home or car.

  3. Yeah I agree with you the various Glochs are really sweet pistols but I really wish they had safeties. I don't want to blow my balls off by accident. That might hurt.
