More or less likely than a troupe of pigs replacing the red arrows fly-past at the British GP?

  1. Even with the rule changes next year there are at least two good reasons that it is unlikely Glock will be winning the 2010 championship in a Toyota and they are Toyota's own track record, as a team they just seem to bob up and down in the middle of the field showing no signs of being a front running team. Timo, sadly, has done absolutely nothing to indicate that he is a future champion and it remains to be seen if he will even be competing next year though I think he deserves a chance.

In all honesty I expect the status quo to carry on next year with maybe (big maybe)Honda or Red Bull(meaning Vettel) coming through to challenge.

  2. A few more suspension collapses (if that's what it is confirmed to have been) and he won't even be alive by then.  Glad he was safe, albeit shaken.  Good driver but I don't see him as great.

  3. I think when you consider that so far this season Glock has been overshadowed by one of F1s most notable recent underachievers whilst using the same equipment then it becomes clear that he really is mad. The poor fool. I'd understand his optimism if he had a decent drive, or if he were the sole competitor but surely even he must realise that it's never likely to happen.

He could prove us all wrong and make it. I'd really rather like him to prove us all wrong but I feel he's going to mature into "solid mid-field team mate" and not world champion.

  4. April the 1st already?

  5. I snorted out loud at this. come on! This is such a joke. I'm kinda writing him off here. Glock is not as good as some of the top ranked drivers. It could be him or just his car. But frankly I don't think he's got what it takes to be WC. At times his driving makes me wonder how he became GP2 champion and ended up in F1 again. We'll see in two years if he does become WC.

  6. That is possible if he only drive either the Ferrari or McLaren, but with Toyota, still far from reality.

  7. "At the end, you have to set some targets,"

Oh yes, quite the funniest thing i've read all week. You have to admire the German sense of humour.

  8. Rosbif you normally ask sensible questions! I'm think teams like Toyota and Honda may have a better chance over the coming years with the introduction of KERS as their car manufactures have had previous experiance and maybe (just maybe) this could help them out but..........Timo hmmm thats pretty tough to imagine, I think all the time Jarno is driving with them he stands a better chance but its still a (very) long shot!

Still if they ask him we'll see if he believes he's up to the job, or if he keeps a straight face we'll see how good his acting skills are.

  9. HA HA HA HA, oh my God!!!

His goal is hope to be Toyotas test driver in 2010, hes an ok driver but champ? In a Toyota? Ha ha ha ha

  10. I would definately put a good bet on........against it !

  11. I like both Massa and Trulli, both good drivers i think. If Trulli was driving a ferrari he would be up the top rankings right becuase he is a great qualifier... Massa in a toyota, would be doing not to much better.

Toyota is surpreme in every other motor racing event maybe not WRC at the moment but they will be top in f1 one day, maybe Alonso race for toyota next year

  12. I thought that too :-)

Until Toyota get some really top people in (why they didn't get Ross Brawn I don't understand) and get some decent, experienced drivers, they'll just carry on as they have - spending millions or even billions and getting a couple of points here and there.
