I ordered some Glossostigma elatinoides online and some guy at an aquarium told me its illegal in california

  1. It is very much legal.  I had some in my tank for a while, and my local fish store gets it in regularly.


  2. Not that I'm aware of...there are many tanks in California that have beautiful carpets of Glosso. Plus my LFS has some in stock.

  3. From what I could find on the net stated some areas with its use in outdoor ponds is not allowed.  I would suggest talking with or calling your local twp. to see if you are allowed in the particular area where you live.
