Gloucestershire release Chris Taylor – Cricket News Update
Gloucestershire and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Chris-Taylor-c1253 reached an out-of-court settlement on Monday, as the latter decide to leave Nevil Road.
Taylor, the 35-year-old right-handed batsman and a part-time off-spinner, had earlier sought litigation over his unfair release by the county. But after a detailed discussion with the management of the club, he decided to take the
case back and leave the county.

"We would like to thank Chris very much for his years of service as both player and more recently fielding coach and wish him all the best for the future," said http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Richardson-c85395 on Monday.
Taylor stayed with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Gloucestershire-c785 for 12-years as a batsman and most recently as a fielding coach, and he is the second player to leave the county due to the financial uncertainty embroiling the club’s ground development. Earlier,

His future at Nevil Road was dependent on whether the county gets permission from the Bristol City Council to develop their Bristol home or not. The application was rejected by the council, prompting the county to terminate Taylor’s
playing contract.
The former http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hamish-Marshall-c1525 also signed a renegotiated deal with the club but his contract was not cancelled, as it was not subject to the planning application.
Taylor thanked the county, the staff, the players, as well as the Gloucestershire fans for their support during his more than a decade long stay at the club.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Gloucestershire fans for their support over the years and wish them every success in the future," Taylor said.
"It is with great regret that I move onto the next challenge in my life but look back on my career with many fond memories," he added further.
He is currently working as the fielding coach with the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Somerset-c843 County as consultant. He is likely to take over as Somerset’s full time coach.
