Glover Teixeira ready to challenge Jon Jones any day – UFC News
It is not always about talent in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, luck plays a fair role too. IN Glover Teixeira’s case, he has tough luck to counter. No fighter in the division wants to lock horns with him, since they see him as an emerging threat. Even
elite fighters of the organisation are keeping away from him, to ensure he does not get a chance to devour what they have established in years.
However, Teixeira is confident that sooner or later he will get the title shot and he will prove his mettle. Talking about a possible fight against UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, Teixeira revealed that he is by all means ready to take on the American
champion.
“There are a lot of tough guys, but I think I bring it to Jon Jones. I'm not quite qualified to say something like that yet. I have one fight in the UFC and have more to prove. If they offered me the fight I would say yes, bring it to him and get that title,”
said the Brazilian fighter who wants to get a major fight registered in hsi portfolio.
Glover is currently scheduled to face Fabio Maldonado at UFC 153, which will be held in Brazil. He is confident of scoring a victory, and then he wants to move forward with his goals. Not just against Jones, Teixeira wants to face all the fighters in the
organisation who are dubbed as the top ones.
Fighters like Rampage Jackson, who are being considered outdated, are moving away from Glover’s challenge, to save whatever remains of their legacy. However, Teixeira is hopeful that the organisation will realise his potential and give him the opportunity
to prove his worth.
For now, Teixeira has high hopes of scoring a title shot at Jon Jones, one of the best mixed martial fighters in the world. However, it should be noted here that Jones already has enough challengers. He is being eyed by almost every fighter in the division,
and of course ‘The American Gangster’ Chael Sonnen. For Jones, Teixeira will be a tough and probably he will too try to stay from the Brazilian.
