Glowing problem with sims 2 ?

when i add a expansion pack my walls glow red and how do i get rid of that??????? could you please tell me easily and it wasnt downloading

Try updating direct x to the latest version as i have had this problem and that fixed it, if not you might need to change your graphics card.
