Question:

Glucosamine??!?

I am currently taking Glucosamine with Calcium and Vitamin D tablets. On the box there is written that they are good for maintaining healthy joints and muscles and bones. Is Glucosamine that ingredient that re-builts that "jelly / cap" that we have around; covering the joints. If not then what type of ingredient does all this? Thanks in advance!

  1. In Australia they swear by a product called Elmore Oil.  It is the fastest selling pain relief oil there and is 100% natural.  It is used to treat arthritis and muscular pain.  I got some myself and it is a real Godsend.  Worked within first application and now there is no pain at all.  There is a money back guarantee with it (which is why I tried it).

If taking Calcium you should make sure that you are taking the Liquid Calcium as this is easily absorbed into the bloodstream.  The other sort can lead to kidney stones.  You can get it with Vitamin D added but I would also suggest taking Magnesium with it as this will also aid in the absorption.

  2. Glucosomine helps with lubricating joints, Glutamine would be more muscle recovery

  3. Glucosamine is one of the building blocks that your body uses for building cartilage (which is the rubber-like stuff, not the jelly-like stuff). It also happens to help other connective tissues (including muscles, skin, etc) because it's rich in natural sulfur. It doesn't really help for lubricating per se, but the cartilage does help the joints to move more smoothly, so I understand how people can make that misinterpretation.

If you are looking for something for lubrication (for the jelly-like stuff), you could try Hyaluronic Acid... that specifically lubricates the joints because it supports the Synovial fluid. Good luck!
