i've just read an article in google about a scientific research

done, and it clamins that glutamic acid increases level

of intelligence? is this true?

  1. Glutamine Amino Acid is the best alternative source of fuel for the brain because it helps to block cortisol-induced protein catabolism. Therefore, it improves the brain function. Hence, a better functioning brain is always intelligent compared to a non-functioning brain.

  2. No, it is not true.  First of all, very little glutamic acid actually enters the brain if administered systemically. It does not readily cross the blood brain barrier.  Even if you were to inject glutamate directly into the brain, it would not increase intelligence.
