1) What is the gap size for the spark plug?

2)What kind of oil can I use for this engine? Would regular car oil be fine (10w or 5w 30 etc)?

3) Is there an oil drain plug or do I have to aspirate it out?

Thanks

  1. 1 - don't know the gap size off the top of my head....Northern Hydraulics (online - google it)  or any other local small-engine service shop could give you the proper gap size if you can't find it online by yourself.

2 - 5w-30 or 10w-30 "car oil" will work fine in that small engine.  I think they call for straight 30w oil unless you are operating it in an extremely cold climate, but they'll all work fine.

3 - drain plug is probably located at the bottom of the block, most likely on both sides (front and back) of the engine.  It's likely a squared off bolt.  You shouldn't have to aspirate it out or tilt the engine at a ~90 degree angle etc. to drain it out the fill hole.  They make it possible to change the oil because if you don't change the oil they know the engine will fail fairly rapidly since there's no oil filter.

  2. 1 = .035

    # 2 = 30w nd -(non detergent)/ walmart

    # 3 = Bottom of the crankcase square plug (drain when hot)
