Go Penguins! Waddle to Victory!?

I can't believe I am saying this...I almost feel dirty...but I want the Pens to win tonight..

...because on saturday during what COULD be the game that we see Lidstrom, Zetterberg, and Datsyuk lift that beautiful cup over their heads, I have my high school graduation ceromony! How much does that suck? So I am hoping the Wings lose tonight, and then win Saturday. Because I have tickets to the potential game 5 as well.

If they win tonight, I am going to have to bring my portable TV to my commencements.

to make this a question...have you ever rooted against your team?

  1. I think we ( the PENS) have a good chance at winning on home ice..It's going to be playing away from home (if they win both home games) that worries me.

  2. Get a TV watch and take it to the ceremony.

  3. Nope...never.  But I can see why you would say that.  Hmmm graduation, that so was long ago for me.  :(

Congrats on making it to adulthood.  Now is when the bills will start to pile up

    Let's go Wings!!!.

  4. I'm feeling your pain - it's a bit like the June 7 bride thing, isn't it?  You've gotta make your family happy with that kind of thing - I've learned that the hard way throughout life!

I've never rooted against my team, but would love them to win the Cup in the Joe Louis in Game 5, which requires one loss.

Besides, I'd also like to see the Pens give their fans some money's worth!

    Go Wings.

  5. well, i hope it works out for you, but go pens!

  6. lol yeah

  7. But wouldn't it be cool if they swept the Penguins AND had a total shutout?  That would go down in NHL history :)

Doubt the shutout thing would ever happen, but I don't really care if the Wings win it in Pittsburgh or Detroit.  I think It would be more memorable if they won it back in Detroit with thousands of fans there cheering.

  8. That's a very good point, make some more money at the JLA for a game 5 as well. Still, I am not against it if Detroit wins it in four games.

Answer - No I have never rooted against my favorite team, but there have been times were I rooted for Columbus when they played Detroit, and vice-versa.

Well, you got your wish, Game 5 for sure.

  9. s***w that! Smash the gas pedal and ram them harder. Skip graduation man!  Get drunk and watch the game like a real man that you will become one day. Graduation is for the nerds who dont watch sports!

    PEDAL to the floor WINGS!

  10. No,I want the Red Wings to win in 4 and embarrass the Pens.I want them to celebrate and hold that cup in the air in the Igloo and show all those Pens fans on what could have been there team holding it above them.I want to see a whole bunch of Red Wings fans parade down in Pitt and many more in Detroit.

  11. Yes, and I paid for it dearly. Get back on the Wings bandwagon and take the win when you can get it. This is the finals and we've seen the Wings choke before.

  12. Easy solution:  Don't go to graduation... get your priorities straight man lol

Oh you got tickets... I'll give you my birthday cake (it has sprinkles on the inside!) for the tickets...

Now I see why you want them to lose... I don't blame you lol.

To answer your question... no... i've never rooted against the wings but i have rooted for players on the opposing teams while they were playing against the wings.

  13. I want the Wings to win tonight and let the Pens win on Saturday so we can win the cup on home ice.  I hate it when the championship team is in the opposing arena, takes some of the fun out of it.

I root against the Lions each and every week.  Rooting for them forever hasn't worked so might as well try something new :(

  14. I know its bad to hope your team loses, but if Detroit is going to win the Cup, I want to see them do it at home.  It just seems more memorable that way.
