  1. Yea i started this year as a freshman and just the summer runs im loving, With our coach he doesn't tell us where to go so our XC team runs all over town and the cars stop for us not us for them =]

But just be prepared to not be at the front of the pack first 2 weeks cause 5-10 miles is a lot for a noobie

  2. YES! You should most definitely do cross country! Also, make sure to do the summer training program, as the workouts get harder and harder as the summer goes on, and when the school year starts, they will just continue from where they left off after the summer program.  I've done cross country for 4 years now and i love it!

  3. of course, i just started this year, my freshmen year, and i had no previous running experience except for a xc camp i did over the summer, it was a lot more fun than i thought it would be

  4. yes, absolutely. i didn't do xc until my sophomore year and i didn't do any summer training before hand and now i am one of the fastest in the league/district and state (i started doing summer training heavily the summer after junior year, last summer)

  5. yea go for it

its a very tough sport but extremely fun

plus if ur friends are on the team u get to chill with them alot of the time

  6. YES!!! im also a sophmore and on the cross country team, dont worry. Many of the kids are there for the same reason and not really that good. It just counts if you show up, and try. Its a great group and i love it!

  7. Absolutely!! I'm 36 and started running last year. I just ran my first marathon and I wish I wouldve started earlier!!

  8. Yes, definitely do it. Cross country is a great sport, especially for those who aren't very sporty. It is more of an individual sport, so you can keep improving and setting personal records, even if your team doesn't win league meets. It is also a very healthy step of change in your life! =]

  9. yes! do it

this is the exact same thing i did

i had never done a running sport before ever

if u have good coaches they're not going to be mad if you're slow or ne thing just as long as you're trying your best

    go for it.

if you dont like it you could always get out of it

but dont sit on ur bum and then regret not doing it

from what i fouund xc was the funnest thing i did all year
