Go green: can you handglide to work if you live high up?

Just a thought, is it feasible for anyone to get to work by handglider?

Obviously you would have to live at a high altitude, or live on a hill. You would probably need to get some sort of clearance and arrange a landing space. I think it would be a very positive and original environmental concept.

  2. Yes you could, but getting back home may be a problem.

  3. well....I think many of the "go green" people are high enough as it is.....matter of fact they must've been storing the stuff since the 60s...so it's pretty ripe by now, if some of their outlandish claims are any example!

  4. How 'bout getting back home?

  5. Only on wind friendly days and a place to put the thing when you got there and then

    .. .. ..

Some place to be able to take off from again

    .. .. ..

The only glider that I see as a possible is the one man glider that has a lawnmower engine pushing it along the way

    .. . ..

Then again you have the landing problem and parking problem to tie it down to on windy days while you are at work

    ... .. ..

Would be kind of a spatial to see a sky full of hand small fabric kite looking gliders all over the sky at the time of every body going  to work

    .. .. ..

Man talk about the news at 6 with the wreck that happen when some bodies wings collapsed and caused a massive pal-up
